Agreed. But scoreboard watching -- and commenting and editorializing when your team is not in the game is lame. Check back in this string Horns. And yes Stormey, I'm a Cards fan; bleed red. But you sure don't see me -- or most of us -- whooping it up when a rivals, including the Lakers, skid.

It certainly sounded as though you were targeting (all) laker fans in general...I think if I remeber correctly you had started saying this because a laker fan had responded positively from Elmira's tying of the game? It would seem as though you are taking more exception to an opposing team's fans or fans being excitied over a rival's game. Loudhorns made a very good point earlier...if a game, even a non conference game may have NCAA implications then it is even more interesting to kow the outcome. Oswego has played Elmira twice and play Plattsburgh at least once more.

SNC takes care of business this weekend. Getting enough offense to pull away at the end of both games.
Defense has been suffocating. Allowing just eight goals in the last 10 games!!!

Sounds like just another day at the office for St. Norbert....

Good to see Cortland being so competitive in the New Year.

I guess they left it all on the ice in last night's 2-3 loss to Manhattanville.

I don't get how saying nice after a team scored a goal with its goalie pulled is whooping it up. Its a rare occurrence. This is getting a little ridiculous and i don't know why your trying to make a mountain out of a molehill

Well in all honesty I think Oswego could have had a shooter tutor in net tonight and still got a shutout. The defense didn't commit a single turnover directly in front of the net and Curry never had a guy in front of Hare where there wasn't at least two Laker's right there with him. A lot of real good decisions were made with the puck which hasn't been the norm lately.

Oswego looked really lazy in the first period, especially in the neutral zone but they still managed a bunch of shots that Dawson handled. In the second they turned up the wick and really started to dominate before Moodie broke through on the power play after getting three whacks at it. The second goal was an absolutely beautiful shot by Ian Boots, top shelf on a 2 on 1 with John Whitelaw. Third goal was a beauty as well, Dan Bremner took a perfect pass from Owen Kelly broke in short handed, got hauled down and from his knees passed it to Kelly who deked around Dawson and put it in the net.

Hare made a bid for an empty netter but it got blocked by Hank Van Boxmeer who skated right in front of him for no reason and almost knocked it back into the net. Ice presence of some guys in certain situations still leaves a lot to be desired. All in all though a real confidence booster for Andrew after he got pulled in his first start with Oswego and a couple of times with Niagara as well.

They started to pull the trigger a lot more than they have been and if they can start hitting the target then the pressure on the D and Goalies will be eased up a little.

Not sure what you're getting at here Trots.

Last I checked Manhattanville still got the W and that's all the matters in the end. The Valiants are notorious for playing down to their opponents and only winning games you think they should win by 5 or 6 goals by one or two.

I dont think you were at Kreitzberg last weekend when they absolutely put on a clinic against Adrian and Norwich, making two top 10 teams in the country look like pee wees.

I stand by my statement that Manhattanville is the best team I've seen this season and I've seen Bowdoin, Norwich, Adrian, Plattsburgh, Elmira, Oswego, Castleton all live and have watched Williams, Middlebury, Amherst, Neumann, and Hobart all on webcasts.

Certainly don't wish them any misfortune. Was just trying to be realistic and make some sense out the rankings. Ooops......my bad! I'll drop another nickel in the logic jar. LOL

BTW, Saints and Pipers tied 3-3 last nite.
