Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Looks like Board unlocked the old thread and merged it with the new...after doing a little housekeeping :p
Board has great powers, when board chooses to exercise those powers that is.

Said Paterno: "This is a tragedy. It is one of the great sorrows of my life. With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had done more."

With quotes like this, a PR firm might be the best idea.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

I don't know, I thought it was standard.
I think comparing questioning witnesses to taking pictures with lynched blacks kinda goes a little beyond "standard." And tempers got heated because this is such a lovely topic of conversation.

Oh, that was all it was? THat's all still here.

Alright, I'll admit I was skimming. ;) Still, I thought the back and forth was pretty typical.

So it is. Guess I didn't go back far enough. Maybe OP got his vacation for posting pictures of MEg with a pancake on her head :p

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

**** I missed it.

I suspect that you'd have earned yourself a vacation as well.

When Scooby and Dirty are the voices of reason, civility has long since left the building.

Anyone find it interesting that DG showed up immediately after Old Pio left? hmmm.

You sir, have offended me. I challenge you to a duel!

Why with pay?

dxmnkd31: check your email

easier. crazy old guy will probably sue if fired 'without cause'. suspended w/o pay will stand out as the two others charged are getting fees paid for atty and the pres will go with a package.
they (trustees) want to investigate, it makes sense to suspend with pay.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

And JoePa is legally innocent, as of right now.

So is Sandusky at this point, technically.

Regardless if Paterno violated any laws, he shirked his moral responsibility in this case and as such needs to face the consequences of that.
