RPI Recruit Thread 2021-22 (Part II)

I have some news on our potential USHL players.

First, Kareem Alazem has made it through Green Bay's camp. He'll be in their training camp in early September, but it is unknown if he will be there all season or if he will end up back in Maryland in the NAHL.
Second, Jackson Kyrkostas made Muskegon's roster but has chosen to go back to KUA because he'd like to graduate there.
Lastly, I don't know if Sanborn made it out of Dubuque's camp, but he is not going back to the Hill School. If he doesn't make Dubuque, he's going to play in the NAHL.

That's all quite interesting. I certainly can't fault Kyrkostas for wanting to stay in what is supposedly a very good prep school. I suppose that he could still play the end of the season in Muskegon like last year.

The years the men's recruits are listed as committed for are not necessarily accurate.
The dates on which some of the women are listed as committing on may be considerably after the actual dates.
I am assuming that Neutral Zone regards their Star ratings as public because they often tweet them with committals.

STRENGTHS according to Neutral Zone (NZ doesn't include them for women):
Aw=Awareness/IQ, Ch=Character/Leadership, GS=Goal Scoring Ability, Sk=Skating, Sp=Speed, SH=Stick Handling Skill,
St-Strength, To=Toughness, Vi=Vision/Passing

Considering the shit coach smith had to deal with past two years I’d say he did a great job. We need more NHL picks tho.

Kudos to the whole coaching staff.

From a guy that's never seen our recruits in anything other than highlight clips, I also offer my congratulations. I think we have some real talent coming our way. However, with most schools not having announced who will be enrolling this fall, I'm curious how these guys felt confident enough to rank classes. Also, how do you compare a solid one-and-done transfer with proven skills like Jake Johnson with a potential 4 year player like Strom?

Edit: From reading the Colgate thread they've also lost several top recruits. I wonder if that was factored in.

I don't think that list is all that accurate. I just posted it because it was there. Neutral Zone also ranks classes, but IMHO their algorithm and data are both poor.

Doubtful he knows Colgate lost their best recruits

Now in the directory
Carson Cherepak BMGT
Sutter Muzzatti BMGT
Nick Strom BMGT

I believe that completes everyone expected to be in the recruiting class. Maybe we get an official announcement this week?

Aslanidis is missing, but that likely means that he was replaced by Cherepak, and we will have just three goalies as usual.

Oh yes I forgot to mention that when I didn't see him, but I saw Cherepak who just committed, I assumed he's the goalie we're losing. I'd be surprised if he shows up now.
