On Friday, the Omaha Lancers defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks 6-2 in a preseason game. Dylan Davies had no points or penalties. https://www.ushl.com/view/#/game-summary/9216

Davies' preseason line is 1-0-0-0-0.
My usual policy is not to mention SOGs unless it is at least three, but since this is DD's first game in the USHL, he had 2, also a +!.

The Minnesota Wilderness had an preseason game against Kenai River which they won 4-3 (1-0) in a shootout. Eric Fawkes was not mentioned in any tweets. They paly again on Saturday. A bit odd that part of the NAHL is playing regular season games while other parts are still in preseason.

Thanks. I will follow both until this clears up although I suspect that this is now correct.. Sertti played for the same organization as Leppanen, so it makes sense. Also we do need a second defenseman at least besides for Davies next year. Also, if LUH is 5'8" as it says on the roster, we can probably do without him. (The previous height came from Elite Prospects.) BTW, Itagaki has grown a bit.

I did not mention this but Smith had told me in July he was going to Finland to recruit, so it's not a surprise to see a Finnish player commit. I had been hoping it was for Veeti Mietinnen (also played for Espoo Blues with Lepannen, projected 2nd rounder in 2020 NHL Entry Draft), but he ended up committing to St. Cloud. Sertti looks like a good player from his stats in Espoo, but another left-handed defenseman is a bit confusing when we have lots of left-handers.
