RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part III)

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part III)

OK, after that story, I take it back.

You hadn't heard that before? I am pretty sure that Ken Schott wrote something about it.

Edit: For anyone wanting to know, it was an interview with U**** recruit Kevin Shier and discussed his rescue of a man from a burning car on his recruiting trip to U****.

For anyone reading this later, there was nothing really of interest in the MP interview. It didn't mention RPI.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part III)

On Saturday, the Toronto Lake Shore Patriots defeated the Wellington Dukes 2-1. They won the Dudley-Hewitt Cup and the trip to the Royal Bank Cup in Vernon starting on Saturday, May 10. Michael Prapavessis had an assist (PPG) and a tripping penalty. (One penalty in the entire regular season and now four in the postseason.) Jacob Hayhurst had an assist and a hooking penalty. http://dhewitt.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2414072

Prapavessis' Dudley-Hewitt line is now 5-2-3-5-4.
Total 71-9-65-74-10.
Hayhurst's Dudley-Hewitt line is now 5-1-3-4-2.
Total 72-21-27-48-54.

"Michael Prapavessis is one special player." "Prapavessis is unbelievable'" (Two comments from the play-by-play in the third period along with several others.)

Phew! Some huge blocks on the kill by Praps. He gets #3 Star.

Praps' penalty resulted in Wellingtons lone goal and Hayhurst with the penalty with 3:33 left. Props to Wellington. Before the D-H Cup play they had been off since March7.

OTOH the day off yesterday probably helped them while TLP played five straight days.

Vernon is going to have a similar situation in the RBC.

No, I hadn't.

I think that the Star was unofficial and given by the announcers. It isn't in the box score. IMHO considering some official Star awards I have seen this year, that one was well deserved.
