The dates on which some of the women are listed as committing on may be considerably after the actual dates.

Two new articles about the USHL draft http://web.ushl.com/news.php?action=detail&news_id=2464 and http://web.ushl.com/news.php?action=detail&news_id=2470. Today is the Phase 1 draft, strictly for players born in 1998. Since none of our current recruits are that young, none can be drafted today. :D OTOH as turk181 mentioned last week there are several current RPI recruits who could be selected in Phase 2 which begins at 8 AM CDT on Tuesday.

Prapavessis and Manley are already drafted and protected.

Edit: We have 16 known recruits. Five played in the USHL for the 2013-14 season and the two mentioned above are protected. That leaves nine. Gillespie has aged out and will be in Troy and everything points to Wilson also being in Troy. So they won't be drafted. Liljegren may or may not be in Troy, but he would take up both import and overage slots if he isn't in Troy, so it seems unlikely to me that he will be drafted. I still think that Rodriguez will be in Troy, but he has committed to Surrey (BCHL). He would be a great catch, so there is a possibility that he will be drafted.

Bell appears in the RPI directory, but that does not mean he will necessarily be playing for RPI. If doesn't do that I hope he leaves Sudbury, and the USHL would be the best place. I don't think that Hayhurst will leave TLP but he could be drafted. Cho still has one year of school left, but it wouldn't surprise me if SA twists his arm to try the USHL like apparently happened with Fornaris a year ago. Dillon apparently wants to stay in the BCHL but again SA could twist his arm, and I am sure that some USHL teams would want him. Burgess is an unknown quantity to me. Since he is from Arizona, he'd probably prefer the USHL to another year in Fairbanks, but I have no idea if anyone would be interested in him.

Interesting to note that the Indiana Ice, which is Waterloo's opponent next weekend, did not draft as they are suspending operations. I wonder if this will affect their play one way or the other.

This separates him from other Union recruits because others typically ignore the burning cars in Schenectady like everyone else does.

Perhaps he made it known that he wanted to stay with SSM. That isn't a bad place to be at all,.

So Burgess, Cho, and Bell are the only ones really left. The fact that Bell hasn't been selected yet makes me think that he is really going to RPI in the fall. IMHO he is the one who would benefit the most from the change of scenery.
