Edit: Interesting that Waterloo ties the game with an extra attacker goal with 5 seconds left, and then Dubuque wins in OT, also with 5 seconds left.

You think maybe the fact that Waterloo took 4 of the 5 penalties handed out had anything to do with the outcome? Especially being given a penalty with 49 seconds left in OT?? I am not sure I have ever seen a box score where 5 goals were scored total and only 2 assists awarded. Strange game for certain.

They did send the game to OT despite being down a man. (They were even with their goalie pulled.)

I guess that Dubuque got hometown reffing. We never almost seem to get that.

My point exactly. I would just expect a penalty call in OT would have to be very flagrant just as i expect a call to put a team 2 men down to be. But that has changed over the years.

<s>Melanson is not in the lineup for Waterloo's game today vs. Sioux Falls (Nanne) http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2235419. Waterloo lists one fewer player than they are allowed, so perhaps he is injured.</s>

Edit: He's in it now.

According to the Victoria colorman, it was more than an extra attacker since the goalie was nowhere near the bench as the goal was scored and two people may have left the bench. They didn't blame Dillon for any of the goals.

I havent heard of any recruits being at HFH over the weekend. I didn't see anything obvious, but I got to BRF just before puck drop, so I didn't have time to look around
