Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

On Friday, the Austin Bruins defeated the Kenai River Brown Bears 2-0. Charlie Manley had an abuse of officials penalty. http://nahl.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2250911

Manley's line is now 32-0-2-2-4.

For some reason as I write this, the box score above is not complete. The final stats are in the gamelive http://www.pointstreak.com/gamelive/?gameid=2250911.

Edit: The box score is up and the penalty has disappeared and it is now awarded to the coach. Manley just served it.

On Friday, the Waterloo Black Hawks defeated the Tri-City Storm 6-1. Drew Melanson scored two goals (1 PP). He was named #2 Star. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2235104

Melanson's Waterloo line is now 35-13-19-32-12.
His total is 37-13-19-32-12.

Love the scoring-but he took 4 shots! That's not the boy we saw here in NJ years ago. (kidding of course) Maturation of his game seems to be coming along quite nicely. I'll take anyone who can give us a point per game on average.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

You're far better at this than I am-but I would suspect he would be high on the Waterloo list for shot percentage. I would of course exclude those that have not scored much but amongst the higher scoreres i would suspect he is near the top. He was always efficient-and i only wonder what would happen if he shot more? Would his percentage drop or would he score more?

He's second http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/teamplayerstats.html?teamid=3135&seasonid=11221&sortby=spct.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

Not surprised Alec Dillon is listed as backup tonight, he was at the game last night versus Yale. Long trip back and forth.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

On Saturday, the Waterloo Black Hawks lost to the Dubuque Fighting Saints 3-2 in overtime. Drew Melanson had no points or penalties. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2235107

Melanson's Waterloo line is now 36-13-19-32-12.
His total is 38-13-19-32-12.

There goes his shooting percentage. ;)

Edit: Interesting that Waterloo ties the game with an extra attacker goal with 5 seconds left, and then Dubuque wins in OT, also with 5 seconds left.

and Waterloos' consecutive unbeaten streak....Rewriting the Record Books…The Waterloo Black Hawks are continuing to win games, and doing so at a record pace. Following a weekend set in which they outscored their opposition 12-1 over two games, the Hawks pushed their winning streak to 15 games and have not lost in regulation for 21 straight games (20-0-1). The 21 consecutive games without a regulation loss established a new USHL record, surpassing the 20-game stretch by the Rochester Mustangs in 1986. During their 15-game win streak, Waterloo has outscored their opponents 71-30, including 23-5 over their last five contests. The winning streak is the longest in the USHL since the Green Bay Gamblers won 15 straight during the 2009-10 and is one shy of equaling the USHL Tier 1 era (2002-present) record of 16 set by the Sioux Falls Stampede during the 2005-06 season.

re-reading that I was wrong....when they tied it with 5 seconds left in regulation.
