Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part II)

there were several kids at tonight's game.....Wellington Dukes, Nepean Raiders were a couple of team jackets I saw. Saw the small blonde kid FD was probably talking about, very young & small. Another kid about 5'10 170 16-17yrs old, had Freeze something on back of jacket, was part of group who all went into men's locker room between periods. Sorry for so little info ATT.

the CV goalie was awarded #1 Star after allowing 5 goals....talk about your homecooking....geesh!
Well he did keep ET from getting a hat trick. ;) (He did face 54 shots. Whether anyone besides ET deserved to be above him I can't say.)

Ophthalmologist please! I know in this modern day of everything being equal-that many use the terms interchangeably. An ophthalmologist is an MD who graduated from medical school and then had a hospital residency of 3 years before sitting for his board examinations. You would really love my guy-he is a hockey player!!(and a huge NY Ranger fan):)

Mine is a Cornell grad.

34. Michael Prapavessis, D (Mississauga Rebels)—There are three very good d-men on the Rebels—Di Perna, Centorame and Prapavessis. There is not much that separates the three of them, and it would be very difficult to rank them 1-2-3. Prapavessis is a clear step behind in the skating department, but he is also the most savvy with the puck on his stick. He’s the obvious choice to run their power play, which he does in an effective manner.

He might just add some of the things we will sorely need-running the power play, puck savvy (especially in his own end and in front of the net), and a bit of size. It is great when a D man can skate like the wind-but when you suit up six of them for each game, having one that is a step slower is not all that important as long as he can back up quickly.

Complete agreement. I do hope, however, that our powerplay improves before he shows up. :)

16. Mitchell Allen, F, ’95 (Kent/Uncommitted) 6-2/170—Project forward from Clifton Park, NY (north of Albany) is intriguing. Could be a completely different player when he is 6-2/200. Look for the sophomore, with the departures of Boo Nieves and Ryan Rosenthal, to move into a more offensive role next season.

There was some discussion about SA not recruiting anyone from the Capital District. Here might be an interesting prospect, especially size wise.
