Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part II)

This might be too much to ask, and it may not always be available, but would it be possible to include the dexterity of the players? i.e. if they shoot/catch right/left handed

I seem to remember that last year (I think it was), we had only one right-handed D-man. As much as my dexterous bias was overjoyed, it doesn't help us much from a strategy standpoint.

16. Mitchell Allen, F, ’95 (Kent/Uncommitted) 6-2/170—Project forward from Clifton Park, NY (north of Albany) is intriguing. Could be a completely different player when he is 6-2/200. Look for the sophomore, with the departures of Boo Nieves and Ryan Rosenthal, to move into a more offensive role next season.

There was some discussion about SA not recruiting anyone from the Capital District. Here might be an interesting prospect, especially size wise.

He was a C player in the Players to Watch list http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=83207.

I do list LD or RD when available for the d-men when Chris Heisenberg includes it.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part II)

That refers to the position, though, and is not necessarily a reflection on the player's dexterity.
But if that's the side they play and it doesn't correspond, that's the side they are most useful anyway. If you feel like collecting the data, I'll add it.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part II)

there were several kids at tonight's game.....Wellington Dukes, Nepean Raiders were a couple of team jackets I saw. Saw the small blonde kid FD was probably talking about, very young & small. Another kid about 5'10 170 16-17yrs old, had Freeze something on back of jacket, was part of group who all went into men's locker room between periods. Sorry for so little info ATT.
Good work on spotting these. There are the Frederick Freeze that play in the Empire League down in RB's neck of the woods...other than that, I dont know. http://frederickfreeze.com/

very well could be. Going by the colors on their home page (powder/navy blue), those were the colors of the Team jacket the young man was wearing. Unfortunately, there are no pic's of the players. I should have remembered the team colors from when the Freeze played @ HFH in Oct. vs the ADK Jr. Wings. Thanks WS.

A couple of the Freeze players do have pictures linked from the roster page http://www.pointstreak.com/stats/pro/teamroster.html?teamid=259864&seasonid=9219, but they are older players who are very unlikely to attract our attention.
