RPI Pros VI

Re: RPI Pros VI

He did great work with DeBoer and Robinson when he was an assistant in NJ a few years ago. He could probably do the same in San Jose if he does decide to go that direction, though I think that would be something of a tacit admission that he can't hack it as a head coach. I wonder if he'd consider coaching in the AHL or another lower level so he can figure out how to coach 5x5 and then making the jump back up to the show.

He could do great work with faceoffs and power play at RPI also. Too bad that it is very unlikely to happen.

Paddy Cullen has left the Rapid City Rush & signed with the Evansville IceMen (ECHL). Can’t provide a link as Evansville’s site is down while being upgraded.

Wow. Team you dreamed of playing for convinces you to forego Sr. year and then trades you. I understand NYR need in goal (backup) but man that has to suck for Haggs.

This move, plus the other trades made today have made me question my loyalty to the Rangers. I have been a faithful fan since 1953 but i think i have to now reconsider. Losing Talbot and Hagelin troubled me, but this Haggerty trade is just too much for me.

Re: RPI Pros VI

Mike Zalewski did not receive a Qualifying Offer from Vancouver  ..... http://canucks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=772928&navid=DL|VAN|home ..........Qualifying Offers
The current team must extend a "qualifying offer" to a restricted free agent to retain negotiating rights to that player.

Players who earned less than $660,000 in the previous season must be offered 110 percent of last season's salary. Players making up to $1 million must be offered 105 percent. Players making over $1 million must be offered 100 percent.

If the qualifying offer is not made, the player becomes an unrestricted free agent.

If the player rejects a qualifying offer, he remains a restricted free agent.

Doc I am a Rangers season ticket holder - have been going to the Garden since 1972. It is my opinion that Glen Sather is the Fredo Corleone of the NHL. Yzerman snookered him last year and Edmonton took him to the cleaners this time around. Knowing what we wound up with and the fact that we are in perpetual cap trouble due to overpaying and multi-year contracts, I would have offered Edmonton Nash, Stepan and Talbot for the number one pick. That would have cleared cap space and Connor McDavid would have been a nice start to build around. The Rangers had their shot at the cup the past two seasons but many eastern teams improved while the Blueshirts have not. So the immediate future is bleak. Our number one - Nash - is Mr. October, not Mr. May and Lundqvist is the goalie who would be King but like Prince Charles he is getting long in the tooth. Perhaps we can convince Sather to take a fishing trip on Lake Tahoe.

After exploding offensively in the second half of the 2014-15 season, Brandon Pirri overcame injuries to finish the year with 22 goals. Newly engaged, Pirri has enjoyed his summer, but is itching to get back to South Florida and pick up where he left off. FloridaPanthers.com recently sat down and spoke with Pirri about the upcoming season, Reilly Smith and more..... http://panthers.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=775393&navid=DL|FLA|home
