RPI Pros VI

It was a difficult regular season for Will Reilly, who played in only 40 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, scoring only one goal and four assists.

But he had a good night in the first game of the Calder Cup playoffs, scoring the first (and game-winning) goal and going +2 in the Penguins' 3-0 win over Hershey.

He was only an Engineer for a year, but the Carlisle Sentinel reports that Shane Sellar has received an invitation to the Hershey Bears' training camp, which is scheduled to open Monday.

Sellar grew up in Carlisle and once played for the Hershey Jr. Bears. It'd be a nice hometown-boy-makes-good story if he sticks with the AHL club. If he doesn't, Sellar is still under contract with the ECHL's Reading Royals.

Sellar's tryout with the Hershey Bears lasted only a week. He played in one preseason game, recording one shot on goal and two penalty minutes, and has now rejoined the Reading Royals.

The Royals will play their first preseason game at Adirondack this Friday, though I'm not sure how many RPI fans would want to go to Glens Falls for the chance to see Sellar play when RPI's current team is playing in Troy the same night.
