And he was not named rookie of the year even with his 100+ point season for Boston.

I skated with a kid (local boy) from Selects earlier this year & he told me he loved playing for Andrey.....

Hearing Selects Academy is hiring Andrey Uryadov to be 16U coach. RPI alum has been SKSA asst last 5 years. Brown alum Mark Naclerio will be 15s coach. Has AHL and Europe playing experience. Jon Hutcheon is still 18U coach and SKSA Hockey Director.
— Jeff Cox (@JeffCoxSports) May 28, 2020

Andrew finished his RPI career in 2008. I believe he majored in mathematics.

The RPI placement office contacted me some years later and asked if I could contact him about the possibility of an actuarial career. My own actuarial career was winding down at that point, but I remember we exchanged e-mails a couple of times. I originally told him about the Society of Actuaries and Casualty Actuarial Society. When he indicated that he was thinking about going to Wales to play hockey, I told him he might want to look into the UK's actuarial organization, the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and suggested he could look into getting an offseason job with an insurance firm in the UK.

Andrew was very gracious in expressing his gratitude for my advice, but I guess hockey has remained his first love, at least up to this point.

The latest issue of the Rensselaer magazine mentions that Kirby Rowe '71 passed away on 8/25/17. I guess that it took them a while to find out.

Very interesting man.

I assume that the "full scholarship" RPI gave him was of the academic variety. RPI didn't start offering athletic scholarships until Mike Addesa's tenure.

There is more about him on the net. I posted that one because the full scholarship gave me a chuckle. Then I forgot to mention it.

Look for
@RPI_Hockey alumnus Andrew Lord to take over as coach of ECHL's Greenville Swamp Rabbits (@swamprabbits). Lord is coming off very successful 6-year run with Cardiff Devils of EIHL

On June 19, 2020, Andrew Lord was named head coach of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. After an illustrious career with the Cardiff Devils in the United Kingdom, one of the most successful coaching prospects in the game joined the Swamp Rabbits family and will look to bring the Kelly Cup back to the Upstate.

Get to know "Lordo" in this five-part series, hosted by the Voice of the Swamp Rabbits, Jordan Kuhns.

An extract from a message from Charlene Markham:

Meanwhile, though, I thought some of you might be interested in seeing what one of our hockey alumni, Phil Hampton '16, has been up to. Phil earned his BS at RPI in Aeronautical Engineering and is currently finishing a Master of Applied Science degree at the University of Toronto Institute of Aerospace Studies. He recently competed in a worldwide Small Satellite competition sponsored by the University of Utah and placed third. If you'd like to watch Phil's presentation for the contest, it's available here (his is the first one), but I warn you that unless you are also an aeronautical engineer it will most likely go over your head as it did mine! Anyway, congratulations to Phil. He does RPI proud!

To clarify: his talk is the first student talk (session VII) at https://smallsat.org/virtual/keynote-and-talks
