RPI Pros VI

New start for Haggs.....<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/FlaPanthers?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#FlaPanthers</a> have acquired Forward Ryan Haggerty from the Pittsburgh Penguins. <br><br>Read » <a href="https://t.co/RjpJHbx48W">https://t.co/RjpJHbx48W</a> <a href="https://t.co/Pu2uzXfsPM">pic.twitter.com/Pu2uzXfsPM</a></p>— Florida Panthers PR (@FlaPanthersPR) <a href="https://twitter.com/FlaPanthersPR/status/1207035595639414784?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 17, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Re: RPI Pros VI

Haggerty definitely wasn't having as good a year for Wilkes-Barre this year as he had last year. Last year he was scoring goals and scoring them at important times, enough so that he won the team's award for most times included among the three stars of the game.

Hope the move to Springfield can help him to get it going again.

Well, in his first game with Springfield Haggs scored 1g with 5 SOG & was named #1 Star.

Good for Chase. He has had a couple of down years and now maybe he can dig himself out.
Congratulations.

It's outside the hockey realm, but RPI football alumnus Andrew Franks is scheduled to play his first XFL game tomorrow.

His team, the Tampa Bay Vipers, will be playing against the New York Guardians, who, ironically, are coached by Kevin Gilbride, uncle of RPI basketball coach Mark Gilbride.

Kicked one field goal in a loss. Still has one of the best legs for distance around and it simply amazes me why he has not been picked up by an NFL team.

Nash Nienhuis, Kraig's son, just committed to Michigan State. I thought that he was being passed over because he is a 99 and still hadn't committed. Sp he commits to the B1G.

Re: RPI Pros VI

Didn’t think BP was going to get another shot with Vegas. After his last demotion then HC Gallant was asked why he thought Pirri wasn’t having the success they had hoped. Gallant’s answer was, “ I have no idea go ask him"..... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">News: Vegas has recalled forward Brandon Pirri from the Chicago Wolves <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/VegasBorn?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#VegasBorn</a> <a href="https://t.co/DpcV27STRX">https://t.co/DpcV27STRX</a></p>— Vegas Golden Knights (@GoldenKnights) <a href="https://twitter.com/GoldenKnights/status/1233893354548551680?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 29, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Re: RPI Pros VI

Looks like Kazzy was an emergency sign for Manitoba as their starter was injured & their ECHL Team is in Jacksonville & it was too late to get him up to the Peg. Obviously they’re aware Jason is living in Winnipeg now. So, he was released from his PTO after serving as the backup in yesterdays game.

Re: RPI Pros VI

Can he skate? ;)

As usual was thinking hockey while typing football. Fixed now - thanks. Jen and I went to see him in a practice tryout once and saw him consistently kicking 70 yards+. Made 10/10 in practice from 50 yards. Most clearing the goal posts by a considerable margin. If he stays in shape and healthy I think there is a decent chance he gets back into the NFL at some point. Then again, with the current media attention, some team will probably hire a female soccer player to kick before then!
