Note: Jerry will be 23 in 5 days (same BD as my Mom, that's why I remember)...... I'm 80% sure the RPI line sheets had "LAING" as the pronunciation.
EDIT: Found some old game notes which list pronuciation as "ma-TEE-us LANG"

I do like the way he calls the games BTW and either he really does his homework as to background info or he has super assistants.

It was pronounced the same as Laing while at RPI, but as a German name, it should be pronounced approximately as Lahng-uh, so he is correct.

As someone with the last name "Lange", it is pronounced here as "Laing" and how we say, but during the year I spent in Germany on rotation all the Germans called me Mr. "Laang-uh".

First goal was PP agianst, second was short handed against, and last was an empty netter. Lange played very well but his team just did not have the weapons to make this a game. He made us all proud that he was an RPI boy.

JD'A scored again today (game's still in progress). Since he was sent back to Marlies; 15games...9g, 3a, 41SOG. Before being called up by Leafs; 19games....5g, 3a, 23SOG. As for BP, since being sent back to Rock.; 6games...5g, 3a, 30SOG and the 2g, 1a AHL All-Star MVP Game (which was a serious game vs Farjestad HC of the Swedish Elite League).
