RPI Pros IV

A sad day, an rpi graduate is hanging up his pro hockey skates. I'll wait to discuss in honor and respect for him, after he makes the announcement himself.

Re: RPI Pros IV

Since the Maple Leafs didn't make the playoffs, they could have sent players from the NHL roster down to bolster the Marlies' Calder Cup chances.

If they did so, and Jerry is gaining # 1 star recognition over the NHL guys, that really speaks well for him.

They did, they sent; Matt Frattin, Joe Colburne & Jake Gardiner(D) down.

Re: RPI Pros IV

Jerry seems to be one of those guys that can step up during big series. He played his best amateur hockey in the World Junior tournament, now it the AHL playoffs he has raised his game once again.
The kind of thing that will be noticed in the NHL.
It looks like both D'Amigo and Pirri will get serious consideration for advancement next season.

I agree. I read similar comments on Hcokey's Future. OTOH, he didn't do that well in the World Junior tournament last year.

With the right breaks, D'Amigo, Pirri, and York will all be in the NHL next season.

Re: RPI Pros IV

Dayton Gems (CHL) season is complete. Team failed to make the post-season. Stats for former Engineers; Jonathan Ornelas & John F. Kennedy... http://www.daytongems.com/?page_id=25. ....One thing I was quite surprised with about the league was the attendance, Fort Wayne averaged over 7,000 a home game....Dayton was last at just over 2,000 but did have over 5,000 for their final home game.

One would certainly think so-the operative words though are-with the right breaks.;)
