Re: RPI Pros IV

There were five others besides for York who played in both the ECHL and NHL this season. That is surprsing to me.

Very surprising to me also. The step between the ECHL and the AHL is fairly big-but nowhere near as big as the next step up to the NHL. Taken together however i would suspect that moving up the 2 steps is just huge. Credit to the fellows who can accomplish it though.

Re: RPI Pros IV

Rockford's season is complete...no playoffs. Brandon Pirri led in scoring (tough break missing 8-9 games late w/lower body injury).....Brandon Pirri was given the team’s Leading Scorer award as the second-year center paces Rockford with 55 points, including 23 goals and 32 assists. Pirri also leads the team in multi-point games, shots, plus/minus and power play points. http://www.icehogs.com/news/icehogs/index.html?article_id=3367 Perhaps a call-up to Chicago (as insurance) is awaiting....or if Shaw is suspended come Monday for his hit on the Phoenix goalie Sat. night (Shaw was ejected from game)

Re: RPI Pros IV

Peoria's season is over, no playoffs for them either. Chase didn't play in their final game tonight. I don't think he's played at all since he was injured-maybe it ended his season and they just never specified.

Does his contract cover next year too, or was this the second year (meaning the games he played after signing senior year burned one)?

The way I'm reading it, this was the lone year of his AHL contract. Hopefully, despite his "upper-body" injury that cost him most of the year, St.Louis (or someone else) will have seen something in him that warrants another contract. I am excited to join such a great organization in Peoria to start my professional career,” said Polacek, who will play for the top affiliate of the St. Louis Blues for the remainder of this year and in 2011-12. http://www.ecachockey.com/men/members/rensselaer/20113003_FossPolacekSignProContracts
