Re: RPI Pros IV

Doesn't look like any news has come out about Yorkie starting tonight in Columbus' game against the Avs. He'll probably get passed over in favor of Mason, because going with the 14-22, 3.43 GAA, .892 SV% "starter" over the obviously hot 3-2, 2.30 GAA, .920 SV% rookie probably makes perfect sense to the Blue Jackets organization.

Re: RPI Pros IV

Well then. If you go a few tweets further back, it looks like Yorkie might have pulled his groin. :(

A likely story made up to explain the choice of starter. Really doesn't matter any more. Allen has shown with certainty that he can play at the NHL level. His future looks very much more secure at this point.

One bit of injury news to pass along: goaltender Allen York suffered an injury during the skate and will not play tonight. Interim head coach Todd Richards told the media it's likely York pulled his groin, but added Steve Mason was originally slated to start tonight vs. the Avalanche. Shawn Hunwick will serve as Mason's backup after being a healthy scratch on Tuesday. http://bluejackets.nhl.com/club/blog.htm?id=344

Re: RPI Pros IV

Bakersfield's season is complete; Tyler Helfrich with a great 1st year, led them w/50 pts. while Eric Burgdoerfer matches last years point total (16) but increased in goals from 2 to 5. http://bakersfieldcondors.com/team-stats/

Pretty awesome numbers for the boys!

Chase Polacek is scratched again. No word on whether it's still from the injury or if he's a healthy scratch. Austin Smith is playing with the Texas Stars vs. Peoria.

Re: RPI Pros IV

looks like that groin pull will keep Allen York from playing in Columbus' last game......Goaltenders on the ice are Steve Mason and Shawn Hunwick. Mason is expected to make his second straight start between the pipes for Columbus. Maksim Mayorov, recalled late yesterday from Springfield (AHL), is on the ice today as well. http://bluejackets.nhl.com/club/blog.htm?id=344

Re: RPI Pros IV

with Gwinnett's season complete & Norfolk having clinched the top spot thru-out the AHL Playoffs and Norfolk coming to Albany on Fri. night......I'm not saying anything.......but it would be pretty
