RPI Pick to Click 2016-17

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2016-17

Well, that could have gone better, but we march on, flying to Grand Forks to take on the North Dakota F'n Hawks in the only game of the weekend. Unfortunately, we only had 6 participants last week, so hopefully we can get a few more this week (and I'll spam the main RPI thread accordingly).

Picks must be in by 8:07 ET on Saturday.

You may NOT choose the following players for this game:
RPI: none
North Dakota: Brock Boeser

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2016-17

Haven't done this in previous seasons but it looks like fun. For my first ever picks I'm going to go with former Lincoln Stars teammates and linemates.

RPI - Patrick Polino
ND - Ludwig Hoff

Despite me not actually making the post until Friday morning, FlagDUDE08 and RPI fan 4 life were able to jump out to an early lead!

RPI's only tally on Friday came from defenseman Jared Wilson (no one). On the flip side, Maine was led by freshman Mitchell Fossier (no one), who put up a hatty in his first NCAA contest. Bully for him.
Saturday was a bit less lopsided, with Riley Bourbonnais (Ralph Baer, RPI fan 4 life) and Drew Melanson (lugnut92) scoring for the Engineers. The Black Bears had seven players with 2 PtC points on the night, including but not limited to Blaine Byron (1 G; FlagDUDE08), Daniel Perez (1 G; vizoroo), and Cam Brown (2 A; RPI fan 4 life).

Thanks for running this again lugnut! I enjoy playing and following RPI hockey from the Midwest! Best of luck to the Engineers this season!

Maine: Cam Brown

Saturday
RPI: Jake Wood
Maine: Blaine Byron

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2016-17

Congratulations to MavHockey14 for winning this little week of only one game!

Three RPI players earned two PtC points in their losing effort: Jake Wood (1 G; MavHockey14), Evan Tironese (1 G; hawthr), and Will Reilly (1 A; no one). On the other end, RPI allowed yet another hat trick, this week to sophomore Joel Janatuinen (no one). Neither goalie was good enough to get a quality start, one because he got shelled, the other because he didn't face many shots.

Oh and three obviously wasn't where we wanted to be to start the season, but RPI will push to get into the win column as the parents come to town with a pair of games against Atlantic Hockey teams. Friday will see RPI face off against Niagara, while Saturday will be a faceoff between two small, private, upstate New York tech schools commonly known by three-letter abbreviations starting with R.

Just a reminder, because of the new rules in place this season, you may only pick one goalie for the weekend.

Picks must be in by 7:00 ET on Friday.

You may NOT choose the following players for this game:
RPI: none
Niagara: none
RIT: none

...neither of which are upstate. We're not playing CCT this weekend; they are upstate. :p:D
