Re: RPI Offseason Part II: Mindless Drivel.

exactly FiveHole. This is going to be fun. I'm glad BC is on RPI's schedule. Their fans are the most passionate from what i can extract. I hope a lot of them make the trip to Chestnut Hill.

There are a lot of RPI alums who live in the Boston area, or at least there were a lot of students when I was at RPI who came from there.

It's too bad that the rumor that this game was going to be played at MSG turned out to be false.

That seems insulting to RPI alums - not that I mind!

I might not be able to go the tailgate on Oct. 12th now. I may need to someone to take over getting the cake. Let me know.

Tailgate is slated for Oct. 19th (not 12th). Glad to help with the cake, if you cant make it. I'll need the important design data of course...

Sorry, yes, I know the tailgate is for the 19th. I forgot to change my calendar from yesterday, so when I went to type, I saw the 12th . :p There still appears to be some fluctuation with the schedule from my football games. OK, I wanted it to be a surprise, but here's what I was thinking for the design: (I already have the design) white cake with cherry filling, with white frosting and Puckman on the cake.

Re: RPI Offseason Part II: Mindless Drivel.

He did, but so did Watson. The problem was Western Bias. :)
All kidding aside that was at least part of it. Back then western hockey was considered a clear notch above. Not so true today.

Well they took that away but he got the last laugh. I got to visit the HHOF in Toronto last month and only Adam could be found, smiling broadly, in the Great Hall.

I'm all in -- with one exception -- if we can work in a layer of chocolate somewhere.... :D

It isn't Black Friday. ;) Although, given the match could possibly be for the Red and White Belt (I think BU has it right now), we may need something to distinguish us... ;)

Re: RPI Offseason Part II: Mindless Drivel.

In honor of Mark McGowan and Katie Rooney, today is 14 September 2013. There are 21 days (3 weeks) until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 5 October 2013 for the start of next season.

For the football fans-final score RPI 24 Alfred 21. A good start to the season for the boys who are now 2-0.

Our kicker had 5 (five!) field goals on the day. Someone earned their scholarship today (you know, if we gave them).

He seems to have quite the leg strength as most of his kickoffs this season have been very deep and into the end zone. Certainly he gets the game ball for today.

It almost seems a shame that just when RPI gets a kicker who can consistently put kickoffs into the end zone, the rule has been changed so that touchbacks come out to the 25 yard line instead of the 20.

At least with some of the field goals he was hitting, we don't have a large four down territory. 50 yarder!

It's funny, for D-I and NFL football, 50 yard FGs are like the minimum expected long for kickers.
