I get you're upset at CHN for excluding ECAC. I will say, in their defense, I wouldn't say it is far off base to say the ECAC might not have a team in top 10 but expect them to have three in top 15. Even last year going into NCAA Tourney Yale and Union were in the 10-15 range. RPI wasn't far off either. I realize QU was number 1 but they lost Hobey finalist in goal and good chunk of defense. I see them being around bubble this year.

I'll post my top 10 soon and I'm sure there will be some who disagree but I do have RPI in my top 10. I voted them number 1 in my ECAC Media Poll ballot.

Oates' problem was that he had too many other outstanding players on his own team.

I was looking at your RPI article again. I don't recall the entire sequence of goals in the 1985 RPI-UMD game, but it was definitely RPI, not UMD, that tied the game to send it to overtime. Ken Hammond scored from in front of the net with little over a minute left in regulation. Although I couldn't find a boxscore on-line I did find this video of all of the goals.


"Bulldog Bests" seems inappropriate. :)

Whoops! I watched that video, but I guess I got it wrong. I looked up and down for a box score, but I couldn't find one. Thanks for the info, I'll go fix the actual post.

So just because we happen to be playing BC this year means that those Bostonian wackos that are more annoying then me think they're going to be invading the main thread with smack talk?

Dude... one can't talk smack with engineers. That's like trying to win an argument with your wife.

exactly FiveHole. This is going to be fun. I'm glad BC is on RPI's schedule. Their fans are the most passionate from what i can extract. I hope a lot of them make the trip to Chestnut Hill.
