Big win for RPI and great for the ECAC. After watching the interviews, I nominate SA for ECAC Commissioner. :D. As far as Alan York's 'tache..., keep the mask on. ;)

SA is staying in Troy, behind the RPI bench. Let the ECAC find someone else.

Honestly, I think the third period is one of the reasons we try to schedule BU year in and year out (along with getting a powerhouse in the rotation to boost our SOS), and Don Cherry is absolutely correct about this, the fans like "Rock'em Sock'em"! If you can get a game where each team has an equally physical presence, it gets fun to watch. Yes, I'm a little disappointed with some of the cheap shots, but that happens sometimes. I'm just happy that our players kept their composure and were in control even during the potential fights.

By the hammer of grabathar (whatever that means) I agree. That was like a HE game. Hard fought, Hard Hitting, Hard Feelings!!!! In alot of ways the Northeastern game was worse. I thought Anders-Goulet got hurt seriously when he was boarded by NE player. This is a tougher RPI team than I have seen in years. Maybe since the Adessa days. Hats off to Seth for the way he prepares these guys.

Better than dyeing their hair some ridiculous color. :)

Besides Backmans injury last year, and losing to Brown in the ECAC tourney, it was the dumbest that Yale did, they should have dyed their hair blue before they dyed it gold?

RPI makes it's case for national spotlight

Will be interesting to see where we are in the "meaningless" polls.

We'll jump Alaska and possibly Notre Dame... don't think we'll pass anyone else. It's possible but unlikely that we could jump BU. Also possible that we jump Union. So, 13th is most likely, possibly 11th or 12th. The thing that really matters is we are a unanimous top 10 team in the computer rankings which means that if we control our own destiny from this point forward.

I almost spit out my Yoo-Hoo when the 6:00PM sportcast noted that the Albany Devils - Wilkes Barre - Scranton game - scheduled to be played in ATLANTIC CITY today - was cancelled due to...wait for it ........."POOR ICE CONDITIONS." Sadly, I'm not making this up. They can't make ice in December, and yet the ECAC is entrusting them to host a two-day event in late March??

I also doubt that we will jump BU. Teams usuallly don't move much on a single game.

If the roof can fall down in Minneapolis, anything can happen. :)

What Wicked??? You have no confidence that league officials will figure this out:D

Re: RPI MMXI III: Overanalyzing The Iron Men and Other Uses of Internet Bandwidth

From all objective standards we should be ahead of them.

We're talking about polls, no?

And by standards that are as objective as you can be, e.g. PWR, KRACH, we are NOT ahead of them.

Re: RPI MMXI III: Overanalyzing The Iron Men and Other Uses of Internet Bandwidth

6-1-3 out of conf so far !!!

Duly noted, and I think it's great. But KRACH is widely acknowledged as the best objective ranking system, especially somewhat early in the season, and it has us below Union. Doesn't mean I like being below Union (quite the contrary, I have a major superiority complex with regard to Union), but the fact is that's what the best objective system we have says.

Re: RPI MMXI III: Overanalyzing The Iron Men and Other Uses of Internet Bandwidth

The loss to #51 Harvard does not help

This is actually a good thing for us right now in many ways; Harvard's extremely low Games Played total will give them more volatility and I think any reasonable observer would be willing to take their upside rather than downside (from #51) in a straight-up bet right now.
