RPI @ MC, Saturday, 11/30/19 (Turkey Leg Classic)

Re: RPI @ MC, Saturday, 11/30/19 (Turkey Leg Classic)

Evidently Merrimack decided, after last night's 0-7 debacle, they didn't want to shut out at home twice in a row.

We can hope RPI will decide they don't want to get shut out on the road twice in a row.

Unfortunately (maybe fortunately) no radio broadcast and I don't have the video feed, so I just want to make sure - RPI has a goalie in net, right?

Idk I love Savory but he made an air brained play behind the net during the penalty kill. Should have been 3-0 for MC

Re: RPI @ MC, Saturday, 11/30/19 (Turkey Leg Classic)

Early in the game to say this but someone needs to introduce our players to each other as they do not seem to know where each other is. Savory simply does not look like the confident boy we saw most of last year for whatever reason

Re: RPI @ MC, Saturday, 11/30/19 (Turkey Leg Classic)

We did seem to find ourselves as the period went on but still the scoreboard shows a big zero.

Re: RPI @ MC, Saturday, 11/30/19 (Turkey Leg Classic)

Hard to say what is different but there is a noticeable change in the RPI team ever since the last period against Princeton. From the time we were up and gave up the goal to tie the game, we just have not been the same.

Re: RPI @ MC, Saturday, 11/30/19 (Turkey Leg Classic)

Really frustrating period. A big defensive breakdown for the first goal and a perfect shot for the second.
Once again, we were not ready when they dropped the puck. That has to stop.
We can't be playing from behind every night.

Re: RPI @ MC, Saturday, 11/30/19 (Turkey Leg Classic)

End of 1 shots even at 9

Pretty even game. RPI has made some horrible miscues leading to 2-0. MC has not.

Re: RPI @ MC, Saturday, 11/30/19 (Turkey Leg Classic)

Interesting how we just do not seem to be drawing any opponent penalties early in games lately. That would go along with our slow starts as we are just not hustling enough for teams to have to hold or hook or commit infractions against us.
