Re: RPI III: Revenge of the Seth

Not surprisingly, there have been a h*ll of a lot of posts about JD'A on Hockey's Future over the last week or so. This is a link to all posts mentioning him (spelled correctly) http://hfboards.com/search.php?searchid=9220741. Click on the first line of a post to get to that post, not the thread titles.

This is the thread in their Leafs' Board that I linked earlier http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=720218&highlight=D'Amigo. Posts mentioning Jerry should show up in the link above, but here there is more about him together. The last couple of pages deal with Sunday's game.

Edit: The first link doesn't work. I guess that the searchid is matched to the person searching. All I did was search for D'Amigo by post (not by thread).

Re: RPI III: Revenge of the Seth

Two things about D'Amigo.
1. He is a sniper. Both goals last night were perfectly placed.
2. He can take a hit. He was pummeled last night and just kept on going.

He should bring a lot of confidence back to Troy this weekend, and the team has got to believe that he can make them an even better team than they were at the end of December.
I jsut hope that he is not exhausted when he gets back. Physically and Mentally, he has been through a lot in the last two weeks.
There is a possibility of a let down the first weekend back.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. There's a possibility he'll score nine goals. There's a possibility he gets tied up in a snowstorm on his way back. There's a possibility he quits hockey and becomes a monk.

There is a possibility that he will sign with Kitchener. :p

Re: RPI III: Revenge of the Seth

Could you explain?
You answered correctly. No one dictates when Black Friday is except for us. The fact that it has been played on the first Friday home game of the ECAC schedule does not mean that it always has to be played on the first Friday home game of the ECAC schedule. Just like BRF!, there is no set in stone date that we must follow every single season.

Got it! :o

Re: RPI III: Revenge of the Seth

Jerry just scored a really nice goal, partial breakaway, low shot beat the goalie 5 hole to tie the game up vs. Sweeden late in the 2nd.

I watched the second period of the game, and that goal was a beauty, including the little self-pass to beat the first defender at center ice.

After the tournament he's been having, you're officially free to quiver about him leaving RPI, but Brian Burke isn't a dummy when it comes to college vs. major juniors, so knock this particular crap off. :)

He is coming back from a very emotional tournament. He has been looking forward to playing in it and now he has excelled in it.
I think that there is a possibility that he may be spent by Tuesday night.
He has been on a high since the first game of this tournament, and it is POSSIBLE that he might let down his first weekend back.
I don't know that he will, but what goes up, will come down.
And yes, all those things that you mentioned are possible too.

Maybe he'll go on vacation to Florida. ;)

Re: RPI III: Revenge of the Seth

The Showcase Showdown is the "grand prize" portion of the Price Is Right game show, made popular over the last three decades by the timeless, perma-tanned, slightly perverted, now retired Mr. Bob Barker. :p

Yeah, RC enlightened me. I haven't watched that show in at least ten years.
