I always think that today's date should be a national day: National Marching Band Day (use the month as a verb and the date as an adverb...;) )

Our Pep Band is a treasure and salutations to them! :)

I just read on the SLU game thread that both lugnut92 and REDaero91 are seniors. Does that mean that RKarger is the only current poster likely to be an RPI student next year, or am I missing someone? Just curious.

Take it to the Puns thread. :p

Plus, America's Pep Band doesn't march. They amble.

I don't think mackek2 is a current student...

He certainly did. A pretty flagrant charge and leap into the player's head with a shoulder and elbow. Something we had seen before years ago but now doing it in the NHL.

Oh, it was on the ice? I thought he may have dusted off the video camera or something... :eek:

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part IV: Not A Finished Product Yet

I know a bit late considering the games were over the weekend and seems like all of RPI Nation is following and posting at this point....I can't be happier for these boys and this program. As much as we all expected more earlier in the season, this is getting a bit beyond what we had imagined.

Some thoughts - first have to mention Burgdorfer. Any one else notice how he really goes out of his way with the youth player they announce with the starting line up, making sure the kid is cool and getting him settled and organized. The sign of a man is taking responsibility for others, and I thought a magnificent reflection of him. As he flys under the radar a bit, what about Matt Neal ? 2nd on the team in scoring, not a penalty minute this year, and just always involved and leading the play. His lines have constantly been switched up since the beginning of the year and just doesn't matter. Incredible consistency. I am still LOVING the Rogic-Fulton-Miller line. Speed and intensity and never quitting. Then you also have Bubela and Diesel now playing huge and we are no longer focused on our "top" guys from the beginning of the year like Laliberte and Haggerty. Some other thoughts - our defense and goaltending have been outstanding. We are now scoring the 3+ a game that I think Dr D and I have messaged about for years. We are also scoring first and staying on top of teams (this is what I thought Union did as well as anyone). We looked simply fantastic against Clarkson...they weren't even in our league in the first 2 periods. St Lawrence scares me because they are so fast, but again we played into them rather than trying to hold on and that's the confidence difference right now. These kids believe, and that is an incredibly powerful thing.

Finally, had the chance to speak with Aspydad for quite a bit before Fridays game. I sincerely hope that he doesn't disappear from posting. My father also always said "take the credit and the blame for everything you do", and all the credit to him in that he never wavered on the team or the staff. Would be nice to see all those who were heard when things looked bleak to also be tanking note of where we are at today and all that has been accomplished.

As much as we can give praise to the laurels this team has accomplished, it's not even close to over. Heck, it's only begun. Sure, we earned a break next week. We still need to get it done the week after. It's 2 out of 3 with no tomorrow. RPI has shown they can put up in the regular season, so obviously the whiners shut up. The same must now be done in the playoffs.

I'm currently a sophomore. I post so little you'd never know.

Post more! After all, anyone who isn't caught up to Ralph fails ModComp... :p:D

Then I'm doomed. Unless I start doing a word per post.:D

And my two cents for the next thread, being that we reside in Troy;

RPI Hockey V: The Team That Launched A Thousand Wins

It's all good. We enjoy your posting here.

As for the thread title, we want to be careful with that, because there's no guarantee that we get 1000 wins. It would coincide with the ECAC championship, though.
