Just saw Jerry D'Amigo score a tying goal from the 2010 WJC Semifinals on NHL Netwok!

OK - oh well. Maybe you can convince them to kneel down in front of the ticket window?? :p

LOL, they're all taller than me so the kneeling down trick probably won't work, no worries though, we catch a bit of a break at the ticket booth with one of my son's being a student at the school. We will be at West Point tonight to see Army play an exhibition against that traveling Russian team (Russian Red Stars). I think I'll wear an RPI jersey tonight just to confuse everybody, in fact the three times I've worn it this year at Tate, Army has won, so my Army friends encourage me to wear it, (at least until Army loses a game at home). The guy next to me brings an ipad so I'll keep an eye on the RPI score as well.

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part II: You Better Starting Posting the Engineer Way

If there is any RPI fan (Hi FlagDude) at the game today and tomorrow, could you note if coach Vines is there? it wouldn't surprise me if he is going to attend Edina's games instead to watch Parker Reno.

I did make it here safely; there was a blizzard in Cleveland, but was unscathed.

I'll see what I can see with the bench. I did happen to say hi to Coach after his morning skate when I was picking up tickets (didn't watch morning skate, it was only coincidence in times); I think coach Graham was with him. No idea on Vines. Unfortunately I don't have a handheld computer that I can post to here from the game; just the laptop. I'll try to let you know after the game if I notice, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in Lincoln.

No wonder we've lost the last couple of times... jinx!:p

One down and four to go before we get back to the tough competition. :)

great win tonight, looking forward to a strong effort tomorrow!!!

I respectfully refute all you have twisted here. I would give the credit to Monty for the arrival of most of the solid recruits. While I am at it.......it was not Ducatte that got Big Mike, it was Lee Wilcox.

Have a Merry Christmas and since you like dreaming, I hope Santa was good to you!!!!

Equal parts Wilcox, and Troy Record, namely Kevin Moran.

Holy **** that was AMAZING!

And I think I've made a decision: I need to only go to the western games now. Eastern ones are lost causes, if you know what I mean.

from the SC Times; • Appert said that RPI freshman goalie Jason Kasdorf came out of the game after diving to try to make a save on an odd-man rush by the Huskies.

“He kind of dove back to make a save and his shoulder slipped out and they’re having a hard time getting it back in,” Appert said.

“Hopefully, they can get it back in and it’s minimal time off for him.”.... http://www.sctimes.com/article/2012...0044/College-hockey-RPI-rallies-down-SCSU-4-3

Wow! I must confess, I almost wrote the game off after we went down 2-0. Very proud of the way the team responded! Can we bottle whatever Coach said in the room during the first intermission? It worked! Took a bad penalty late, and gave up a couple scary shorthanded chances on the powerplay, but thankfully Kasdorf and Diebold were up to the task. Congratulations to McGowan getting the late game-winner in his first game back from mono! St. Cloud seemed to get more physical once the game started going our way a little. That was quite the game-scoring four goals is still not something we do often, that was a nice surprise! Would like to see Fulton back in the lineup, I liked his energy against Yale and missed it against Brown. Can't really complain about anyone yesterday though!

... would also like to see Travis in but who comes out. I haven't taken the time to look at SCSU's roster, size wise, but that might factor in.

If by getting Addesa you mean running him out of town, it was Wilcox leading the charge with some help from others on campus. As for media people, the incompetent nasty, witch-hunting sports editor at the Times Union had much more to do with the whole fiasco than the little Troy Record.

Btw, what an awful job by te Record this week. They didn't run an advance article before last night's game and then had just a rewrite of a story from the St. Cloud State website this morning. The rewrite also had several errors. They couldn't have hired a stringer for $50 to send them a game story or set up a phone call with Apeprt after the game to get his reaction and a couple of quotes?

They had an advance this morning on the UAlbany basketball game at Navy. It makes no sense. RPI hockey is the hometown Div 1 program, plays at a higher level than UAlbany basketball and outdraws the Great Danes, despite having a student body less than half the size and a smaller local population.

A MAJOR blunder by the sports editor.

Exactly. And good point about the size...I didn't watch the game, only listened, but WCHA teams seem to tend to have pretty big players.

On the other hand WCHA teams including SCSU typically don't play the physical game that many ECAC teams play. I haven't seen enough of Fulton to know how fast a skater her is, but conceivably he could take advantage of the wide ice. It probably boils down, however, to what turk wrote -- who comes out?
