Correct. See http://www.collegehockeynews.com/reports/standings-interconf.php. (The USCHO page for the same thing http://www.uscho.com/stats/interconference/division-i-men/2012-2013/ is aligned wrong with incorrect decimal fractions for each league-vs.-league record.)

Not to mention, it doesn't count (at least yet) non-conference games between conference opponents, but that's just being picky. It does give us a good idea as to which leagues are strongest OOC.

....4. Get improved play from upper classmen like Lee, Tinordi and Dolan...
Unless I am confusing weekends, C.J. went down and was helped off the ice during the Mercyhurst series. Have we heard an update on him?

Nothing has been officially said. He went down on Friday and was potentially going to skate during warmups on Saturday but didn't actually hit the ice. It's been two weeks so hopefully he's feeling better but we've had nothing official.

Anyone even know what the injury was to, back, leg, etc?

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part II: You Better Starting Posting the Engineer Way

Sandy blew DrD quite far to the west. ;)

Not really-but it did screw up the clocks that were all on EDT. BTW I knew that 7PM was in CST:) Things have pretty much come back to normal for us here-but much of the Jersey shore is just gone. The pictures on TV do not do it justice. The damage is monstrous and the cost will obviously be incredible if they even try to rebuild. On a positive note-my electric bill for the past 30 days was the lowest we have ever had!

I'm sure Dream Weaver and Schotzkie will update us with their weekly prose.

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part II: You Better Starting Posting the Engineer Way

Summarizing Ed Weaver's report on this weekend's series:

Lee possibly out with an injury from practice this week
McGowan out sick
Schroeder likely out with an injury
Higgs questionable due to illness
Rogic questionable
Bokenfohr and Hampton out due to team-imposed suspension

Dolan likely to return

Pretty substantial list. Illness seems to be a problem-wonder if the boys got their flu shots this year? Team imposed suspensions always bother me. Hope this is all minor stuff and settled quickly. Lee needs to be rested until he is able to go at 100%.

edit: Did not know that McGowan had mono. Just no way to know how long that can drag on. Get well quickly!

Not buying the injured in practice line for Lee, If anything I'd bet he re-injured it practice. Definitely not great news , but love the quote from Appert: "Get off your lazy rear end and do something about the situation..." That about sums it up. Talk is cheap. Time for talent on this team to join up with some motivation and desire and go kick some *** this weekend.

The master plan is in work here folks. Finish 11th or 12th in the regular season, knock off the top two seeds and then go for broke in AC.

Holy cow.

Lee checked himself badly into the boards right at the end of the second period against Mercyhurst on Friday. RPITV now has the games up, you can watch it for yourself and draw your own conclusions. Ed Weaver also mentions an injury occurring in practice after that game.

Wow! Quite a few people potentially sidelined. I agree with Coach, it's not an excuse, but it sure doesn't help. Get Well Soon to the boys, and hope whoever ends up in the lineup brings everything they've got!

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part II: You Better Starting Posting the Engineer Way

So we could be dressing one fewer player than we are allowed this weekend. :(

I thought that having a week off was supposed to help with the injured getting better. This is quite a list, except for the suspended players, all the others are important players to this team.
What is the difference between "likely out" and "questionable". I would hope that at least one of those designated players can get into the games this weekend.
This will really test the committment of the players on this team. The guys on the ice are going to have to show that they can go for 60/65 minutes at their highest level.
This changes all expectations for the results this weekend. No matter who is on the ice, we need to come out of this weekend with points.

Lets go red!!!!

Perhaps it's time to implement some of those crazy personnel ideas that were getting tossed about. Merriam should borrow Lee's gear and act as a 2nd goalie on the PK!

In theory "likely out" is more likely to be out than "questionable". :)

In the NFL, they use the terms "Out", "Doubtful", "Questionable", and "Probable". Obviously this is a different league, but perhaps it can be easily translated to this. I think of it as 0%, 25%, 50%, and 75% likely to play, although I'm sure the exact percentages differ from league to league and coach to coach.

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part II: You Better Starting Posting the Engineer Way

Sorry homedad, as per Babo rule 2.06 in the RPI Handbook relating to forum discussions, injuries to players cannot be discussed (in detail)!:)

Yes I know the rule but was wondering if there was an article I had missed that made it public knowledge and I see JC posted Weavers from yesterday. I'm also surprised FD08 didn't pick up on the tweet one of the players made to use as an example for Babo. Could be taken as if they were referring to an injury. Though it is best for all of us I guess that he did not and I am glad they put the argument to bed. :D

"This is quite a list, except for the suspended players, all the others are important players to this team."

You do not think all the players are important to the team?

"The guys on the ice are going to have to show that they can go for 60/65 minutes at their highest level."

Is this not true every game? It is not like we can take a guy from the stands and insert him into the game in between periods if one of the guys gets tired. :D

"This changes all expectations for the results this weekend." Sounds like you only have faith in the team if certain players are in the line up. :(
