Or, in true Minnesota fashion, Herbies without even going to the locker room. Playing the part of Buzz Schneider would be Guy LeBœuf. Getting thrown out of the game gets you out of that sort of thing.

He did get thrown out of that Norway game, though.

Yes, he did. And he asked if he should get dressed and do the Herbies, but Craig Patrick told him not to bother-more because he little things right and always give everything he had than because he'd been thrown out. Sorry, happen to be smack in the middle of The Boys of Winter and just read about this.

On the topic, does anyone have an opinion on the hit that got Lebouef tossed? We were watching but missed it, either because it was off-screen or we all looked away at the same time, and we weren't able to make the video go back when we tried to look at it at intermission.

Wonder if our "great coach" got a chance to sit down with the legendary Minnesota Miracle Man Gordon Bombay when he was out there. Learn a few things, share hair styling tips and whatnot. No worries here guys, this team will be fine.

The WRPI announcers said that it wasn't a hard or an intentional hit but by the rules he deserved the major penalty.

Chiming in late. Seems that we left 3 points in Minnesota this weekend. I wasn't able to listen to the game, but read through the thread later, and was wondering if the loss of Leboeuf was a key ingredient to giving up for goals late in the game. Skating with 5 D-men for 50 minutes isn't in most game plans; and I was wondering if they plain just wore down late in the game. Those of you who were able to watch/listen would have a better idea.
how much did Beef being tossed affect Bailen's game? As SA has said, he considers Nicky to be more of a rover but with his D-partner gone that had to hamstring Nicky somewhat, no? How long till ECAC teams start to take notice of Bailen's "rover" style & start creeping a forward to the blueline, when Nicky goes deep, looking for the breakaway...that's where Beef (or whoever's his partner) really needs to be on his skates & also a forward going high when he Bailen goes low.

You have seen the team much more than I have, but perhaps they already adapted to that last season.

how much did Beef being tossed affect Bailen's game?.

I dont think it altered his game, aside from mixing up the pairings ( I believe the BRO was paired with Bailen following LeBeef's ejection??). But there is the toll of having to roll 2 1/2 D pairings instead of 3. Someone (Bailen) ends up logging extra minutes, in addition to the tons of minutes he already skates.

I notice that Union is offering students bus service to the game at HFH on 11/2. RPI fans who don't own tickets needs to buy some, and the rest of us need to buy a few more to keep the riff-raff factor down to a bare minimum. Do it.

I wonder if we can hire some TSA workers to give the Union fans "patdowns".

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part 1: Pocket Protectors and Hockey Sticks

Anyone know why this site has JL and MN having only 5 points thus far when JL has 7 and MN has 8? They seem to be missing a game.

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part 1: Pocket Protectors and Hockey Sticks

I don't think that the Saturday game is included.

It could be the Friday game. USCHO doesn't have that box score. The only reason I know that is because where I play fantasy hockey uses uscho.com instead of collegehockeystats.net .

That makes sense.
