Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part 1: Pocket Protectors and Hockey Sticks

Full disclosure, I may be bringing my cousin who works at Union to the game with me next friday. I will warn him in advance that he needs to keep himself in check or else I cannot hold AspyDad and the rest of the section 9 crew responsible for what may happen to him. With that being said, I really hope RPI campus police treat the Union fans the way Union campus police treat us when we enter that salt shed. I would say lets get a bus going to the the Union game, but a. we all can drive our own cars and b. one bus full would take up what little space we are given in the visitor sections.

Best post I have read in a long time.

Nassau Coliseum holds just over 16K and it NEVER filled up so 14K+/- won't matter, not to mention Brooklyn will water down to include Rangers fans...tough way to see a team with a rich history fall to earth...:(

It does however make it a tad closer for us if we decided to go there. But that would only be for Ranger's games there which I am sure would sell out.

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part 1: Pocket Protectors and Hockey Sticks

Lee and Tinordi both contributed significantly to what little scoring we had last season. Could the burden of the lone C be weighing down on the former? It's really too early to be sure, but I wonder.
I really don't see any indication from their careerers at RPI that indicates they would be goal scorers, great tuff gritty players that add to the end product absolutly, but not goal scorers. My guess would be as the season wears on the posse riding into town is going to be the likes of Zelewski,Bubela and possibly Mark Miller(love his game) and I look for more production from ZS also. Just my 2 cents.

In this economy there will be few sell outs (IF there's a season). Either way...let me know if you go>>>;)

I too didn't expect Lee or Tinordi to be scorers when they came to Troy, but both had relatively good offensive seasons last year. I agree that Zalewski and Bubela will become scorers, but I have learned not to expect much from Freshmen. (So why did I pick Z in the PtC for last Friday? :o ). As far as Miller is concerned, I don't expect him to be a scorer, but I won't mind to be wrong.
