RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

You can't hit what you can't catch.

Yeah, and as a corollary, to paraphrase what one of the CBH players said in a section I didn't quote, "we don't hit players on the other team that often because we have the puck so much ourselves."

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Yes, that's the one downside of going to the games live, missing WRPI's pregame interviews with Coach, which usually feature different information than the pregame videos on RPI Athletics.

That's no excuse. Go to the game with an earpiece and plug it into something that receives FM radio.

I suppose. The information usually ends up on here anyway.

Does it annoy anyone else that you have to go back and uncheck the multi-quote button after you've made your reply including those quotes?

People use multi-quote? :p:D

Being habitual-i just went over to the scores thread to check on how we were doing today. I suspect we are going to beat BYE easily.

First time poster here. Been hanging out on here for quite some time, figured now was as good as time as any to join the conversation.

Hard to not get excited about this crew. Finally clicking, and at the perfect time.

Let's go Red!

In the ECAC games i can remember who to root for today-but what other games will affect our NCAA standings the most?

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

WaP Bracketology

Biggest bang for the buck tonight seems to be Michigan over Northern Michigan.

Thanks for the link-had been there and read through it. I too figured the biggest help could be Michigan for us tonight. Watching 3 games right now from Hockey East all on Comcast TV.

Absolutely spot on. Great post and same for Fish. Might I also mention teams like BC that generally seem to be a bunch of incredibly fast and highly skilled guys ? Yale a couple years ago too. Like I said before - its all about speed in this game ("speed kills"). Thanks.

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Per WaP, looks like al 4 ECAC games came out in accord with 'who shoul we root for'. StCloud and Michaigan also won. Only Lowell fell short.

But Saturday remains...

I did a write up saying that Dartmouth is preferred over Harvard. But overall, a good night for RPI except for the games surrounding Providence. We don't want them to take the HEA title, and they are now in first.

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Back up to 14th in the PWR, and NMU is below the cliff. Need Michigan to win in either 2 or 3.

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Perhaps no one should want to play Harvard right now? If they get their act together, and it seems like that may be happening, they could be the big surprise of the playoffs. I am just glad we play at home next week. The refs seemed to let them play yesterday and not many penalty calls. Will watch to see if that trend continues tonight.

I bet they get Kotyra and Murphy.

I was thinking the same thing-Kotyra and Murphy did no games yesterday and probably not tonight. Perhaps they are being saved for Cornell at RPI next weekend? We could get the fellow who called 8 on us against SLU last week and Dumas (another budding favorite of mine). From what I can tell the games last night seemed to be called well and rather loosely-either that or everyone was on their best behavior. Sure would be nice for whoever we play to have to go 3 games this weekend and perhaps a few double overtimes.;)
