RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Down to 1.6% chance

So, things we NEED to happen:

Yale MUST beat Union
Quinnipiac MUST beat Union
UMass-Lowell MUST beat Providence (currently 1-0 the wrong way after 2)

Things we would very much like to happen:

BC over BU (only 1 way in if BU wins)
Miami over Michigan (4 ways)
Yale over Brown (5 ways)
Mercyhurst over UConn (6 ways)

I haven't checked, but I imagine these 4 are mutually exclusive. If one goes the wrong way, all of the others have to go right.

Lowell tied the score, breathing a whisper of life into the Engineers' hopes....

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Why the heck would I want to be someone else, anyway?

Exactly! That's the very same question quite a few of us have been asking you!

None of us care how snarky or flame-throwing you are on the political threads, we all know most people take on a persona when they post there as "posers" in the slang dictionary sense of the term. We merely ask you to treat your fellow Rensselaer fans in a friendly and considerate manner in our home thread. It's nice to have a civilized refuge of congenial acquaintences where you can discuss common interests in an amiable if sometimes passionate manner.

In other words, in the "Old West," there were certain neutral arenas like some saloons at which everyone hung up their guns at the door rather than bring them inside, so to speak. Drop the persona while here and just be you. You can pick up the persona again at the door when you leave and take it over to the cafe with you when you go there.

Or to quote someone of whose wisdom you are most fond, "why the heck would you want to be someone else, anyway?" ;)

When you have a brilliant future, you will find what I identify as a neutral arena.

However, one thing is true: We obviously have a different perspective of who I am. You're still expecting me to be someone else.

Live stats malfunctions including scores from a previous game are pretty common.

Our chances are getting better. Now the live stats indicates that Union beat Yale by a score of 2-0. On another note, Lowell scored and leads Providence late in the third, if Live Stats is to be believed.

UML is leading Providence 2-1 late, but Union has a 1-0 lead on the Elis.

Your posts constantly crack me up. I gotta party with you sometime.

I have learned to keep a sense of humor about most things-life is too short to take everything too seriously.

As far as partying-any time! We had really hoped we were going to AC this year to meet everyone and have a blast. As soon as we found out we were not getting by Brown-I scheduled my second eye surgery for this Monday. Should be back and rolling quickly this time, hopefully, as it should only invove cataract removal and a lens implant. But we have to match the lens to the other one done 2 months ago-or else things will look kind of odd. I had asked for the lens to be X-Ray capable like Ray Milland in "X The Man with the X Ray Eyes" so that i might be able to see thorough women's clothing but I guess that was not possible.;)

Lowell beat Providence. RPI's chances now increase to 2.8% and Providence is out.
