RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Ah, you engineers.

We liberal-arts Brown grads know the quote makes sense the way Emily wrote it:

"Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul."

BAM! :D
That makes a whole lot more sense. :D

They have allowed the RPI faithful to migrate, notice the white sticker

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Is that image supposed to be viewable?
I can see it, but maybe not, i had to post it to another .com to be able to attach it.

Took a picture of a car IFO me today with an RPI sticker, beneath the RPI sticker was a euro sticker which stated "Hi. I like goats. Do you like goats?"

You missed the other half which read: "Mares eat oats...and RPI eats Ivies."

That isn't true. He left BGSU because the program was supposed to fold (which didn't happen of course). BGSU posters here said that he played well there and were disappointed that he was leaving.
Indeed RB...he was one of their better blueliners ... and the story was captured by Eddie Weaver :
http://www.troyrecord.com/articles/2010/10/28/sports/doc4cc902649ac9f866628423.txt
“After we lost in the (CCHA) playoffs (to Ohio State) in 2009,” he said, “we all got an e-mail from the athletic director saying that they may cut the program. Based on those rumors, and the fact that a couple other guys left and one of my buddies decided to turn pro (Anaheim’s Dan Sexton), I felt it was best for my career to move on, find a better (situation).”

:) I remembered what it was, and it had nothing to do with hockey. Anyone have any suggestions of things that are can't-miss in Lake Placid?
FOODWISE - Liquids and Solids is a home run - do not go anywhere else. They revel in house made smoked and cured meats, sausages, burgers, local ingredients, etc. 10+ craft beers on tap and another 100 or so in bottles. http://www.liquidsandsolids.com/ You can thank me later...or better yet, tell me when you're going, and I'll meet you for a beer or three ! Its away from main street -- (which is an attraction, if you ask me.) Another great stop for grub and beers is Lisa G's right down the street from L&S -- locals fave and pub grub elevated to another level. Order their greek style wings, if you like yard bird parts...OUTSTANDING. http://www.lisags.com/menu.html

(Sorry Doc - the Charcoal Pit is a goner.)

C'mon Doc, I thought it was creative, expecially given the hell-day I was having at work.;):D

I'll compare days with you-this morning my hard drive died-without warning. Could not boot up in any form Safe or otherwise. Before running to computer expert to buy a new drive and install, had to medicate 2 hyperthyroid cats (and they did not exactly want the medications). Then finally finished with the accountant for taxes-personal federal and state, corporation federal and state, pension plan federal and state. Finally got back to computer guy-had him image my old drive so that we could just transfer over to the new drive and still have everything working.

BTW, I thought it was incredibly creative. I doubt many though knew the reference from the old Crosby/Hope routine in the Road movies. Hope your day got better:)

Sorry to hear that it is gone. How about the Red Fox on the way to Saranac? Another of our old haunts. We really love LP-food, drink, shopping, just walking down the street and listening to about 10 languages being spoken.

Don't think the Red Fox is there. Sadder still, the Casa del Sol (best Margaritas this side of Cabo...)in S. Lake is closed ...(new owners managed to drive a thriving enterprise into the ground in short order) Though there is some hope that former owners will resurrect it. Seriously Doc, next time you are thru LP, take Jenny to Liquids and Solids -- food and bev is outstanding, and I say that as a bit of foodie !

I won't compare days -- suffice it say that our OCD/ADD company owner's schtick was wearing quite thin on me today...

If it exists any more-and i think it might-try the Red Fox. it has burned down twice but each time they have come back better. We expect to get up there after my next eye surgery if all goes well. If you dont find the trip too far-head to the Seventh lake House near Inlet on the BML to Ol Forge Road. We normally stay between Speculator, Indian Lake, Inlet, Long Lake and Tupper when we are up there and have been just about to every place that serves good food and liquor. We have not been to LP in years-obviously-but things are pointing towards us getting back up more frequently. Hoping Where'd You Get That Hat is at least still there.:)

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

UMass Lowell defeated Maine tonight 4-2. Not sure if it has any effect on our standing at all but do not think this hurts us any. Tomorrow is huge-hope we can come out strong and hungry and play smart. We have the weapons-the defense, the goalie, 4 relentless lines. Let's put it all together and keep this streak going.
