RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

5-2 now, near the end of 3rd ... Looks like you guys get Brown and we get Ylae.

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

6-3 is the final......If it's yellow, leave it mellow...If it's BROWN, FLUSH IT DOWN!!!

Re: RPI 2013 Part V: Who Wants Screech?

Certainly the lesser of the two evils.

QU/Cornell is an interesting matchup, as is SLU/Yale. SLU is a clearly different team offensively with Flanagan back in the fold.

Parker is retiring after this season. Hope they don't come knocking on the door of our gr8t coach. Most likely a Boston guy but the last two popes have been non-italians so you just never know. Our gr8t coach is a hot commodity these days.

Yes, I am sure there will be wide interest but my guess is BU will most likely stick with an alum. Even with this as the main criterion, it's a big pool of potential names. On an RPI note, Parker was always fond of playing in Troy because he felt HFH was a good test for his team. It has been nice to see BU as a regular on the RPI schedule the last 20 or so years. Hope that continues under the new regime on Comm. Ave.

Lastly, heard Parker tell a story on WRPI a few years ago of winning the RPI tourney sometime in the mid 70s (looks like the 73-74 season) under the old 3-game format. RPI beat BU something like 8-2 in the last game of the tournament but under the format at that time BU was tourney champion. Parker said it was a little strange to get creamed by RPI and then at the end of the game have them hand him the trophy for winning the tournament.

Interesting match-ups all across the board...

QU/CU - how few goals will be scored in this series?

SLU/Yale - how many goals will be scored in this series?

Dart/UC - will 2 or all 3 games go OT?

Brown/RPI - how many shutouts?

How many higher seeds will advance to the Boardwalk?

I am only hoping for one higher seed to make it.:) I think you can toss a coin on most of these. QU is a big favorite-but you can never count out Cornell in the playoffs. SLU/Yale could be one of those 9-8 slugfests each night. Union is still a quality team but i just don't know if they are close to what they had the past 2 years. Next weekend is going to be an exciting time.

You cannot be serious? Our great coach being considered as the next Pope? Would they let him wear a tan suit in the Vatican?

Our great coach would most likely not want the gig because Pope has to wear alot of hats. It would wreck his do.

They got burned the last time that they took our coach. :)
