On Wednesday, the Gunnery Highlanders defeated the Groton Zebra 5-4 in OT. Jake Wood did not dress.

Wood's line is 24-10-16-26-?

Gunnery advances to the Piatelli/Simmons semifinal to be played on Saturday.

EHF-as you know well-i have been following this kid for what seems like forever and often posting that i could not wait for him to get to Troy. It is now getting so close I can taste it. I think we are going to see a lot of magic around here for the next few years. Some players are just natural scorers and finishers-we don't often get many at RPI but when we do they are sure exciting to watch.

In the article it sounds like Cornwall isnt waiting for him to be a "graduate" of the Colts to have this night...then again the reporter may just be calling it that in a way to pump up attendance and the importance of breaking a scoring record.

"I thought Jake and the (Spink twins, Tyson and Tylor) didn't have lot of energy tonight,'' Colts head coach Ian MacInnis said after the contest played in front of an announced crowd of 1,228.

"We're definitely going after it (the record) now (on Saturday).''

It will be feed JL day on Saturday.

Perhaps the problem is that the twins are Colgate recruits, and they have a bet with JL on this weekend's series at the HFH.
