Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. IV

To those worried about JL's competition, it can't hurt to consider Andrew Calof, who absolutely destroyed us this weekend. Calof was not as prolific as JL has been this year and has come in and walked over the ECAC (and, of course, RPI).

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. IV

It sounds like we should know tomorrow if and when they play again.
Gunnery ended up being seeded 4th in the Piatelli/Simmons (Small School) Tournament. They face 5th seeded Groton on Wednesday(3/2). Tournament semifinals are Saturday(3/5) with the Finals on Sunday(3/6).

FWIW, Albany Academy is the top seed in the Martin/Earl (Large School) Tournament and faces 8th seeded Berkshire at home this Wednesday. I'll also add Academy forward David Limoges was named a NEPSIHA All-New England Team-West Division All-Star.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. IV

Thanks rh18. I also added Kasdorf's next game. The other next games depend upon other series results.

Ralph: I lost track-how many points does JL need to become the all time scoring leader for the league? Has he reached second place yet?

I don't recall, but first place seemed out of reach. The team record for a single year is 130.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. IV

I'll also add that it was Col. Knowlton's son, Mark, who got them to this game http://www.albanyacademies.org/podium/default.aspx?t=204&nid=685177

Congrats to the Cadets and Coach Cavosie on a great regular season...something like 26-7 record. He's get them pointed in the right direction.

I never brought it up after the tough loss, but Princeton freshman Andrew Calof is lighting things in his freshman ECAC campaign. Some here may recall we were comparing him to JL -- as the two are very similar in stature and offensive talent. Calof played for Nepean, a divisional rival of JL's Cornwall squad.

BTW, I'm sure this was posted long ago, but it bears repeating. It mentions JL's chase for the record and its got some great insight on JL's shooting prowess...

I've been saying this over and over again. And, JL is having a far better overall season than Calof did for Nepean. Then again, Calof left juniors at a younger age.

Sorry KN, I just saw your earlier post on Calof...great minds.:D
