Ken Schott is reporting Cornell is also interested in HE. Don't see it, they wouldn't want to split from Ivies.

I would be surprised if Ken is reporting that based on anything more than the rumors that were circulating on twitter several days ago. If I recall, that was spawned by a random comment from someone along the lines of "With all this talk about RPI joining HE...what does anyone think about Cornell instead?" That was then passed around and all of a sudden it's "Cornell wants to go to HE!" and it's being reported all over the internet as though there's a chance it actually would happen.

There is no logical reason to believe Cornell would even consider splitting from the other ivies. Not to mention they are 4+ hrs from the next closest team in HE (and 7hrs to UNH...and 10 hours to Maine...) with only a tiny regional airport or a 1:30 one-way drive to Syracuse for flight options.

Well reasoned.

How about this:

Quinnipiac & Notre Dame to HEA
SLU, RPI, CCT, Union, RIT & Colgate to the Liberty Hockey League
Ivy's stay put.
AHA now has:
USAFA, AIC, USMA, BEN, CAN, UCONN, HC, Mercy, NIA, RMU, SHU + UAH

Alternatively, LHL poaches NIA & CAN from AHA to give them the desired conference number of 8

AQ's
B1G, NCHC, WCHA, LHL, IVY, AHA, HEA

Odds of happening - the same as CCT winning the 2012 NCAA's

Well, if we're dealing in fantasy worlds, may as well throw Canisius and Niagara in with the Liberty / Empire State League.

We always bring something-used to be gimlets but lately Jenny has switched to Van Gogh Dutch Caramel. I am happy with anything that qualifies as a potent potable.;)
I would cut off both ears for Van Gogh Dutch Caramel!

What a disaster this would be for RPI.

What was the point of this? There's no point. None whatsoever. Stop.

Hell, why stop there? Throw in Syracuse and Buffalo, too. Why not UAlbany and Siena while we're at it?

Back to discussing RPI hockey-Not much discussion on the line combinations/PP/PK-I know it is early but what did you like and offer up any predicted changes based on what you saw.

On the webcast, we looked fast, our breakout of our own zone was easy and our defense looked very good.
Diebold was exceptional in his positioning.
All that said, I don't know if it was all because of our own talent, or the oppositions lack of talent.
We should know much more by Sunday morning.

We have been plenty fast in previous years, but how is that going to play out against the clutch and grab (which, as boring as it is, is half of our schedule)? In addition, will our game be physical enough to offset the graceful European style of Yale? I certainly hope our western games will go a long way toward answering at least the second question.

I hope it was the former, but I think it was the latter.
