On a lighter note, a reminder that PtC starts up again this Saturday.

New posters are welcome. This week gives you a chance to learn the rules and experiment with your picks before the games start in earnest next Friday.

What statistic could I possibly show to you that would make you change your incorrect opinion? People have presented you with numerous facts and figures to refute your point. You choose to ignore them, because this argument is not about whether RPI is on the rise or not...it's about you pushing buttons and being a troll. I have no interest in debating hockey or RPI with you. If you want to see those facts and figures I mentioned...clear your head, then go back and read them. All I'm willing to offer you is the knowledge that you are the worst poster on these boards, and no one anywhere likes you.

Really? Numerous facts and figures? Such as? zero facts and stats because there are none.

....then why are you?;) You may take the bait....just don't swallow the lure!!

I stopped debating RPI and hockey with him in post 114....debate involves me actually having to look something up. I'm calling him out for being a troll, and making fun of him. Totally different.

ECAC

2011--5th place
RPI 11-9-2

2010-- 6th place
RPI 10-9-3

ECAC Tournament

2011 first round loss to last placed team
2010 first round loss to next to last placed team

over last 2 seasons league record has gotten worse, tourn record/results worse/
worst ecac tourn relative performance in league

Rise on

Until you win your current league on a consistent basis, why look to move? If you do move to HEA, where will you get the recruits to compete with the Beasts of Commonwealth Ave.?

Ahhh - 2 sides to the coin. You question on the competition for recruits should we move. I would argue that we are currently competing for those recruits right now anyway. Further, I think that there may be recruits who look to compete in a league with the strength of Hockey East over the ECAC, and thus we are not even in the running for that talent. My side of the coin says that it will be easier for us to attact even higher end talent by being in a more competitive league. Then just comes down to the coaching staff, administration, and other intangibles...and I am willing to put those people in that position as I am highly confident that they bring a value proposition that other teams in the league cannot.

Did Brown beat top seeded Yale? Did Colgate beat top seeded Union? Looks like teams got hot at the right time. Cleaned up playing poker at ac last year. Hope my tickets are good in Providence. RPI record against Union & Yale was pretty good last year better than any one else?

Out of Conference Record:
2008-09: 4-12-1
2009-10: 8-8-1
2010-11: 9-4-3

Yep, we're getting worse...

Re: RPI 2011-12 Season: Posts on a Message Board

Hokeydope, this one's just for you:

Providence Friars:
2010-11: 8-18-8, 4-16-7 in conference
2009-10: 10-20-4, 5-18-4 in conference

What say ye, Mr. High and Mighty? ;)

Re: RPI 2011-12 Season: Posts on a Message Board

no one said RPI is getting worse.

They are a trending neutral, underperforming program when it counts.
Union is on the rise, RPI is not. maybe after this year but not based upon previous 2 years results.

Can you imagine a BC/BU/Mn/Den/Mich etc ever having these results and pretending they are on the rise....

Our argument: 600 > 500 >> 200.
Your response: 600 ~ 500 *lalalala, I can't hear anything else you're saying*

Seeing that when RPI beat PC in natl game, I was thrilled+ I dont get your point

Why dont you just compare to Alabama Hunstville and really feel good

No, because they're coming from seasons where posting a .600 record is a disappointment.

We're coming from seasons where we were posting ~.300 records. Which would you rather have, two seasons finishing 10th / 11th in-conference with records of ~.300 or two seasons where you're in the hunt for the bye (even tying for 4th most recently) and having records > .500?

Sure seems like we're in a better position now than we were two years ago.

You're not fooling anyone. I saw your post with your second account with a user name that clearly showed your Providence loyalties. You could have picked a better subject than anything that had been said by me regarding Union College if you wanted to keep your identity a secret.

its all relative. those 2 years you had solid tournament showings, last two, huge flops.

if your looking for 5th or 6th and chokes in tourn, you have it and you are on rise

more of the same this year with Union making a deeper run and better results.

You know what, Hokeydope... post everything I said on that day regarding Union College. You want to talk about it, so put your money where your mouth is.
