If anyone is thinking of coming down to Ingalls, we have had about 5" of snow on the ground overnight and it is expected to snow until mid afternoon, plan accordingly.

[. Other than union and Cornell the ecad is average at best this year. Last night on NBC sports Kerry Frazier said that Paul Stewart made awful callsnin his career. Hhahahahahahah. QUOTE=FlagDUDE08;5327044]A little post-game action:

Returning for the four game home set coming up including freakout. This will be my 42nd consecutive season seeing an RPI game. It would be nice to meet Babo and you supporters. Section 8 row F 13&14, Probably be at Knotty Pine first friday for pregame meal and beverage. I have tickets (2 for each nite) for the ECACs in AC in March but I am probably unable to attend - daughter got engaged. If anyone is interested let me know. They cost $99 with taxes title and destination but you might get a discount. Pretty good seats Section 121 row EE.

Jenny and I have our seats also but will only use them if RPI gets there. Perhaps I need my head examined or maybe I need some stronger medication-but I just have this feeling that a lot of people are going to be surprised by our boys in the playoffs. I just keep thinking about 1991-92 when we finished 10th in the league and then upset Vermont on the road and then Harvard on the road to end up going to Boston. In Boston we had SLU beaten except we had a referree take the game away from us 6-5. Still sticks in my throat to even think about that game. Not saying we were the best team in the ECAC that year-but we got on a roll and deserved a better fate. But we were the 10th seed and ended up almost playing in the final for the ECAC championship.

Did we ever decide on a thread title? Or shall we let Red Cloud have his mille-post-al moment in the sun (not that places in between aren't taken advantage)?

RPI 2011 - 12 Part V: Maybe we should schedule Brown more often?

Sorry to hear about that. :(

It's like the president died around here, he taught meteorology at Central CT State, and basically schooled all the other weather folks in the area. This video will also give you a glimpse of the hottest anchor in New England Sonja Baghdady

I haven't seen any real good ones.

Four point weekend!

RPI 2011 - 12 Part V: We're just getting started
RPI Part V: New year, new team
RPI Part V: We should always play with the flu! :p

by the scores in this weekend's ECAC games I think it's a safe bet Merriam is goalie of the week.

And well earned. I watched him tonight and have only seen him this good at Princeton last year. If he can play like this he will at least give us a chance against most teams. We still have to find a way to score more than 2 goals but that may be coming.

That's the safest bet of the year. He was so on tonight that the only shot that beat him was a mis-hit from between the circles that made for a great change-up. If that shot was clean Merriam makes the save.

O'Grady's two goals came from the line just anticipating the play and aggressive hard work. Even the defense, which obviously yielded a lot of shots, kept the vast majority from the outside until a few wild scrambles in the 3rd. With similar efforts the next two weekends could yield several more victories.

Doc, 2 goals is more than zero, and that's where the team was at the beginning of the season.

Completely off-topic, I'm watching the Michigan-Notre Dame game from tonight and it's my first look at the new arena because I didn't get the chance to watch the game early in the season. Anyways, the point of the story: there are no ads at all on the dasher boards. Just the interlocked ND, the Irish logo, and University of Notre Dame. It looks really, really nice.

Congratulations to RPI this weekend. Hopefully, Appert is happy with the process of the wins, too

Congrats to RPI on a nice weekend, this was a crazy game and if not for Merriam the outcome would have been in Yale's favor. Not to say that Yale outplayed RPI, on the contrary, RPI out hustled Yale to the loose pucks and it seems that most teams have learned that if they clog the lane and keep the front of the net clear that they can negate what Yale has left for scorers. It was a very entertaining game and the 2-1 shot differential in Yales favor was not indicative of Yale dominating on offense, most shots were directly at the goalie. Both goalies each made a glove save worthy of the highlight reel. Yale also hit two pipes tonight. Good luck the rest of the way, nice showing of fans tonight as well.

Wow, good feeling. I feel good for the players, been a tough go for them. Hopefully this gives them more confidence for next weekend and beyond. And echoing what Dr.D said, we will need to score more. But looks like the defense and Merriam are getting on a roll.
