SA going big on the blue line tonight. Bro, PK and Guy in the lineup. Diebold in goal. This is war.

He had to dress them, They're too big to fit in the Messa rink seats. ;)

"Nelly is a nice girl, but Hannah is a horr-ible cruel. Paul is a policeman, but Peter is a pimp-ly and rude young man." -The Art of the Ground Round by PDQ Bach.

I wish I were technologically savvy enough to be able to post the actual picture of the following personal ad, instead of just a transcription:

"Wanted:

"A tall well-built woman with good
reputation, who can cook frogs
legs, who appreciates a good f u c -
schia garden, classical music and tal-
king without getting too serious.
But please only read lines 1, 3, and 5."

For all the talk about Messa, I'm intrigued with an idea Ken Schott floated a year ago... build a new rink on Union's Garis Field (which apparently isn't used like it used to be).

I don't think you'd find any Union fans who think Messa is a D-1 caliber facility.

I don't care about the conduct of possibly less than scummy people like Wholin1 when I go to Union. If it were just that, I'd have no problem. The fact is, every year it's a hellhole.

However, whenever you happen to win one at Messa, where you are turns into Utopia! I prefer Messa than let's say, Baker, Brighton, or the Yale Whale!

Last year's games were back to back so it was easier to make this comparison. On Friday at Union, we were verbally harassed and frequently threatened with expulsion by public safety just for daring to make noise or even complain about something being hurled at us. Saturday at RPI, there was an honest to god fistfight in the stands between an RPI fan and a Union fan, and... they were separated. No overreaction. No hero rent-a-cops.

Amen. Wholin1 is one of the few classy people from there, and so I don't mind having a hockey conversation with him.

I missed the fight, though. That's what I get for being down in 33.

Shouldn't say this but I hate Messa for all the reasons stated, but I could be a lot more tolerate if we could actually win a game there ! so come on boys help us out..this is most likely other than Cornell the best team we will play all year...we need a big effort !!!!!!!!

Well that was certainly interesting to say the least....Im just gonna sit back and watch this thread go haywire with what ifs and we need to do this. Face it folks, us fans cant do much if anything to salvage this season for the team, its up to the guys in the locker room to decide if they want to step up or play the string out and go home.

What ifs?! Salvage the season?! I'd like to see the team actually show up for three periods!

This not the worst RPI team that I have seen. But i go back a long way. There have been teams that did not have enough talent to be competitive at all. This team has been close in many games this year (subtract the 10 empty net goals and the defensive numbers do not look all that bad). But there is something fundamentally wrong here. Either this team cannot fit into the offensive system they are being asked to play-or the system itself is flawed. The special team play tonight destroyed us. Well prepared and coached teams just do not do that. I still believe this team has the personnel that should be able to play with almost any other team. I do not claim to be any sort of hockey expert-but I have attended or listened to about 1200 RPI games and i am just befuddled by what has happened this year. I can only imagine how these boys feel. Just a very frustrated fan-but still a fan and will still be one no matter what happens the rest of the season.

4-13-3 against Union the last six years.... what the ****!!

Can this team really be as bad as the one we saw on the ice just three years ago?

Dr Demento summed it up pretty well a few posts back. Still a fan, butvwow. This team stinks and is getting worse by the week. How did this program sink so far so fast?

Well said Doc. This team showed early in the season that they could play with the best. I was at one of the Colorado College games, and we played them even. They started the season competitive with some very good hockey teams.
I don't know where it all went wrong, but it does not seem to be getting better.
As for being a fan, Every team that I have ever rooted for has won a championship and finished last during my lifetime. So just because we are having an awful year, doesn't mean that we abandon them for the rest of the year.
This year makes Polacek and Helfrich look like Gretzky and Messier. They must have been even better than I thought they were.

Well said. I think the loss of those two and York was huge. Nice to see the disgust and frustration expressed by Higgs in the paper today. Maybe the young leaders will start to take over this team. The upperclassmen have done very little on the ice this season to help Time to step aside and see what the young guard can do.

If Brock's bringing out one of the seven you can't say on TV, you know they're angry. I have this feeling he's going to have some extra stuff on his jersey next year, if you know what I mean. He and Diebold ought to kick some *** and take some names.

It seems by his comments SA doesn't like the make up of HIS team. Obviously there is a disconnect somewhere.

There's more to a team than just players' talent alone. It's how that talent is used for the betterment of the team. The players are good when it comes to their own talent. The team is terrible.
