Re: RPI 2010 Recruiting III: Monty's Quest for the Holy Grail

On Wednesday, the Penticton Vees lost to the Prince George Spruce Kings 3-2. Luke Curadi had unsportsmanlike conduct and slashing penalties. http://www.bchl.ca/leagues/hockey_boxScores.cfm?clientID=1413&leagueID=2393&gameID=712991

Curadi's line is now 56-7-10-17-98.
They lost to Vernon, not Prince George.

And, that pretty much ends the speculations over who wins the conference. Vernon would have to get swept in their last 3 games, something I don't see a team on a 5-0 run doing.

It'll be interesting to see who finishes where in that three-way cluster* for fifth. Hopefully, the Vees can heal up and finish that series quickly.

Thanks. I forgot to change it when I quoted Penticton's previous game.

Re: RPI 2010 Recruiting III: Monty's Quest for the Holy Grail

I suspect that some recruits will be at the HFH next weekend, especially for the BRF!. You guys did a fine job identifying them a few weeks ago. :)

It's Thursday, Ralph. That would be this weekend. :p

Re: RPI 2010 Recruiting III: Monty's Quest for the Holy Grail

Why couldn't we say "The upcoming weekend", or February 19th-20th, and remove all doubt? ;)

Tough loss for the Vees...they never trailed in the game and two of Vernon's goals rattled/bounced in off of weakish backhanders...oh well. The hockey gods are finicky !

Been out of the loop with a sick relative...happy to be back on the board. We are looking forward to the BRF! I plan on comparing notes with WS (synchronize watches, man the battle stations...)...our seats will have a closer view of the recruit area of the arena...I expect there will be a few recruits in attendance so SA can close the deal in an emotional setting. When the coaches want to make 'it' happen they hang the sweater with the player's name and current number in a stall of the locker room among the current team sweaters and then let the emotion of the win (and RPI will win) do the rest of the work...:D

Looking forward to it Babo. Let us know if you and the MR. will have time for a pregame "libation"...:p

We will be in Troy very early...the Hubster wants to buy his BRF shirt on campus and I would like him to see the Knotty Pine (we had a meal there during our official visit...do I remember the name correctly?), unless there is another local establishment that you prefer...we will keep you informed on our E.T.A.

How do we stack up guys? What will make the difference?

I'll be on the lookout for sure. I'll be spending part of my time at the game as an RPI TV news correspondent which will provide a great reason to interview potential recruits!

Come by the band and say hi to the posters from that neck of the woods, even if it's from the walkway. I don't know if I will be with the percussion section or my namesake yet.

I usually prefer Brown's if you can make it downtown. It's along the river / US 4. You'll want the one way road that is going south, easiest way to get to it is to go below the Collar City Bridge on Hoosick Street and turn left. If you hit Federal Street, you've gone too far, it will be on your right.
