Re: RPI 2010 Recruit Thread: Give Me Laliberté or Give Me Death!

Jacob Laliberte was named Cornwall's Captain http://www.standard-freeholder.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1748368.

Maybe this was indeed part of the reason that JL deferred going to RPI:

Edit: Also the article mentions that JL will be billeting at Cornwall and not commuting from Rockland as he did last year. That is a good sign if there were any issues at home last season.

All of this is exactly what SA was hoping for IMO. JL's further development & maturing both on and off the ice. Ralph, you've always done a good job of reminder us (me) how tough it is for french speaking recruits. Academics at the 'tute are tough enough without throwing in language barriers. Makes what Juneau, and the A-G brothers have done all the more impressive.

Encouraging start for Tinordi, that's for sure.

That also has crossed my mind, but I didn't want to jinx him by writing anything. :D I suspect that he was affected by his lower (or was it "upper?) body injury last season. Also, he is probably being given a much bigger role this year than he received a year ago. I would like to see him keep up the point-a-game pace.

It will be interesting what happens next year with the forwards. Barring defections, we only lose Kerins and Vassel, and we have three incoming recruits (G Burgdoerfer, Laliberte, and Tinordi). There should be a lot of competition for ice time this season, and it looks like it will be even more so next year. (That's good.)

Looks like were only in need of 1 more d-man for next year, now that we know Zarbo will be leaving in 2011. I believe theres 9 seniors graduating in 2011, thats alot of skates to fill. (Brutlag, Kennedy, Foss, Halpern, Malchuk, Helfrich, Beauregard, Polacek and Zarbo)

They're back -- the Clarkson Golden Knights pep band members will be providing musical entertainment at Thursday's season-opener.

I know it's close, but it sets a bad example for Jacob Laliberte. (You can take that remark however you want to. :D )

I am so so sorry.
I like Seth as long as he doesn't tell the press that he has the two best goalies in the league. Actually he would look less foolish if he kept all his predictions to himself

Re: RPI 2010 Recruit Thread: Give Me Laliberté or Give Me Death!

On Thursday, the Burlington Cougars beat the Dixie Beehives 9-2 according to a message board. The boxscore shows the game is not yet over with 1:53 left. Patrick Koudys had a checking from behind minor penalty with a game misconduct. Thus, he did not play in the final 1:53. http://cchl.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1089718

Koudys's line is now 4-0-0-0-2.
