Oyy..sounds like wedding story was a farce, that is, unless BP was the groom!

That is a funny take on a not so funny situation. Rumors are spreading that Pirri will sign with Chicago. That would hurt. A sighting in Troy would be nice; but then we would need another rumor to get through the final month of the off season.

First the JL melodrama, then the JD signing, now the fear of losing BP-it is beginning to sound like we are one of the top programs in the NCAA tournament losing all their ammunition. Odd, I guess the program has made great strides.

Re: RPI 2010 Off-season thread V: Captain Kennedy and the A-Team

You hit the nail on the head twice; one for why I don't feel this is the best title, and two for me not giving you the horns, as I assumed you had meant that we are getting first class recruits under Coach Appert. It could be interpreted either way.
"Yes," that is what I meant, and "yes" it can be interpreted the other way.

Perhaps some witty tribute to the B.R.O. is in order for the first thread title?
That's "Babo's RPI Offspring," right? ;)

IMO, it would hurt immensely on top of D'Amigo's leaving.

Where have rumors been spreading? I have seen nothing on the internet.

The new rumor could be that SA is going to get the PSU job.

Sources tell me Mike Bergin is retiring from hockey and is going to become a Buddhist monk.

You're going to believe rvd5star69 and not me? OK.

For those of us not on Facebook, could you explain?

With Facebook, people can declare relationship statuses. Some people choose to joke around with this and put outrageous relationships down. Brandon and Allen are (or at least they were, I haven't checked lately) listed as "in a relationship" with each other.

Well you're asking us to ignore the fact that BP has missed the last two team outings and is not or has not been in Troy with the team...short of the wedding being held on Mars, its not unreasonable to question the story and/or to worry that something may be amiss.

I'm not saying I believe it, just that I'd sure feel a lot better if the kid was in Troy.

Re: RPI 2010 Off-season thread V: Captain Kennedy and the A-Team

The TH finally got around to catching up with Quinn - buried inside a story about tickets. Nick is indeed now a Des Moines property.

http://www.thonline.com/article.cfm?id=292665

"...Quinn to Des Moines . . . The Saints were forced to release defenseman Nick Quinn, who in turn signed to play for the rival Des Moines Buccaneers last week. USHL officials initially told Saints coach Jim Montgomery his roster could include three foreign-born players, so he signed Quinn and Zemgus Girgensons to tenders and drafted goalie Teichroeb in the first round of the draft.

But, USA Hockey overruled the USHL and limited expansion teams Dubuque and Muskegon to two imports. Girgensons and Teichroeb are more likely to play more than one season in Dubuque, so Quinn became the odd man out.
"We weren't the only team to have this happen to," Montgomery said. "It's an unfortunate situation, and I feel bad about it, because we had big plans for Nick."

I liked it better when I thought that a Maine education didn't give Coach Montgomery the ability to count to two. :D Just kidding. ;)

Re: RPI 2010 Off-season thread V: Captain Kennedy and the A-Team

I know Monty saw keeper Jackson Teichroeb play for Bowmanville when he was scouting Ontario, and liked him enough to take him in the first round. I wonder if RPI has any interest?

He's got a good size frame (6'2 190) and good RS numbers 20 -8 -1 2 SO 2.26 GAA .917 save.%
They rode him in the playoffs - 14-6 with a 1.95 GAA & .933 save%.

You're reading way farther into this than you need to be and it's making you upset. Get hold of yourself, man.

What part of " I'm not saying I believe it, just that I'd sure feel a lot better if the kid was in Troy." are you having trouble with?
