Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season Thread IV -- It's Looking Like No "I-V" Is Necessary!

Doctor Baer, any thoughts on giving awards to posters on the board. I was kinda of thinking that I'm a strong candidate for rookie of the year honors. Would even settle for most improved poster.
This site is one of the few places that doesn't give out awards for participation. The long term posters here have seen rookies like you and me come and go. I liken it to being the new kid on the block; keep your ears open, participate, show some class, stand up to the bully when he shows his face. At the end of it (RB, Doc and the rest of the veterans will be here long after we're gone), you'll have had a great time and made some friends...and if you hadn't shown up I'd have been the winner!:p ...overachiever...:D ...gonna change my name to Tanya Harding...

Red Cloud, thank you for this incredible honor. I would also like to accept on behalf of troyboy because he is my brother (true). This is a proud moment for our parents.

I give up my award for snarkiest as that's what I get paid to do as an internet professional.

Ahh who am I kidding, WOO HOO.

I would like to nominate Red Cloud for the poster of the year award. His willingness to take anyone on at anytime, anywhere proves his excellence and commitment. Although not an official part of the board, his work on WaP sets him apart for this coveted honor.

Today is 5 August 2010. There are 64 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 8 October for the start of next season.

OK, we're about at 900 posts. Time to ask for suggestions for Part V. I think that the only suggestion so far, which I happen to like, is

RPI 2010 Off-Season Thread V -- V is for Victory!

The poster giving an award to himself is not only tasteless but would also create a conflict of interest. I'm sure WS didn't get one because the categories were not best fitting to his style of posting; the same with myself.

I think I'm losing my touch, though: we've had 900 posts and I haven't been able to continue my losing streak from thread to thread.

I should know this by now...but what is the reference to the losing streak? Do you make notoriously bad predictions?
