Power Edge Hockey has won their bracket and moves on to the playdowns on Sunday.

Its no secret that the Chowdaah Cup has turned into a white elephant. The upside is that it keeps kids on the ice and in some semblance of hockey shape...and if nothing else, reminds the kids of what areas of their game needs work. As for our guys, it lets the BRO and Quinn to get to know each other a bit better before heading to DBQ.

It's probably already been mentioned, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Monty have Quinn and the B.R.O. play in the same pairing. Talent is a great thing to have, but I think it's a greater advantage to have people play on the same line that have played together for a decent length of time. The Angers-Goulet brothers, Polacek and Brutlag (even though they were different positions), Pirri and O'Grady...

Are Quinn and the B.R.O. ever playing on the same pairing, even if they don't start as such?

Now that's more like the Luke I expect to see. I was beginning to think he had mellowed a bit too much.;)

He was concentrating on scoring in the round-robin portion of the tourney. :)

I didn't see Jak play hockey, but did play against him in lacrosse summer league..he was a heck of an athlete then, I can imagine what he was like in his college days. If memory serves he is a member of the faculty and is an asst. lacrosse coach at Alb. Academy.

Is there anyone who wanted to play in the golf outing August 9, but didn't have a foursome to go with? The First Church is currently looking for an 8th person to fill out its two foursomes.

Congrats to their team, despite any feelings about the tournament. Great to see they lit up their lines a bit. :)

The Madmen are short one as it is for our foursome. (Most of us don't golf)
