Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season Thread II -- We Can Rebuild Them. We Have the Technology!

It might be attributable to the girlfriend...now I'm being stereotypical but it is in our DNA (didn't he go on vacation with her during the season and might he want to stay home to be near her?)...I'm jus' sayin'...

He apparently went on vacation with her and her family.

FYI...the B.R.O. is in Troy as we speak for some team/coach bonding...watched the team work out (not allowed by NCAA rules to participate) and will do some dining with SA and co...tomorrow is a clambake sponsored by an alumnus...BRO left town at "O-dark-thirty" all fired up!!! That is one happy future Engineer!:)

Were any other recruits there also?

I should put this on the alumni thread, but....

Mark Jooris and the Burlington Cougars have parted ways. http://burlingtoncougars.pointstreaksites.com/view/burlingtoncougars/news-43/news_13089 Because his son will no longer be playing there next season, I suspect that he actually quit and wasn't fired.

I'd guess you're right, either that or he was fired for winning too many games and sending too many kids to D1 schollies. :p

Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season Thread II -- We Can Rebuild Them. We Have the Technology!

Isn't it new that he will only be taking the SAT's next month? It had been at least implied that he was taking them earlier this year. However it is possible that he did take them and will retake them.

What was the message? :)

More mud for the water... would it kill Hambledon to actually do some reporting and get a quote or two from JL?

Cornell fans aren't creative enough to come up with something like B.R.O.:p

Cornell fans are creative? :D (And yes, I know the distance between Ithaca and me)

Was that really us who came up with that? I thought that was given to us by babo, along with that "other nickname"...

Wasn't Curadi on someone's draft board, that question is not directed to you Ralph.

There's no telling how many boards he might be on, but the B.R.O. did participate in the Rangers prospect camp last June.

I'm pretty sure I made it up, but will defer to Babo for a ruling. :p

You probably did; my memory record for non-numerical occurrences is not that good.

We'll know in 5 weeks how our recruits line up with the professional scouts. None of our current players are eligible for an outside chance. There was some talk a few months ago about the B.R.O. going 3rd or 4th round, anything about the rest of our recruits?

From the Bulldogs website...Friday, May 21, 2010 - Submitted by Alberni Valley Bulldogs

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce that forward Johnny Rogic has committed to attend RPI in the fall of 2010.

The 6’0”, 185 lb forward had a breakout season for the Bulldogs during the 2009 – 2010 season. Rogic scored 18 times in the regular season, and followed that up with 6 goals in 13 games during the playoffs.

“Johnny is a committed person off the ice and on the ice. He had an excellent season and really proved to be an important ingredient in our recipe for success last year.” GM/Head Coach Esdale notes. “He is very deserving of this opportunity and I know that he will continue to build off his success’s that he had last season.” adds Esdale

The entire Bulldogs organization wishes Johnny all the best as he moves on to NCAA Div I hockey, and thank him for his dedication to the program over the past two years.

Thanks for sharing that WCT. Good to see it made officially official.

Neither name (Rogic or Dolan) is in the directory as of yet. Johnny's facebook profile isn't that open, and I don't feel like stalking him.

I'm gonna change my name to Green Cloud.
