Woo! It's my birthday! Less than 150 days until I can walk into the HFH and watch hockey again.

burgie12 Happy Birthday, have a great time... but be careful.

Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season Thread II -- We Can Rebuild Them. We Have the Technology!

I looked into this last weekend because I wanted to make reservations early as well and got a return email this morning from ORDA stating that there will be hockey on Saturday October 30th at the 1980 Rink. RPI vs Union at 4pm and Clarkson vs SLU at 7pm.

Thanks for the info. Will be booking soon.

A friend told me that the May print edition of the New England Hockey Journal contains an article on Luke Curadi aka the B.R.O. The May articles are not yet available online...perhaps someone here subscribes? www.hockeyjournal.com

Yes, it's my 21st. I'm trying to decide between Bombers and Biergarten.

First of all hello SKyle it took me a bit to realize it was you. Also if you didn't do the margarita AND the boot...we have problems!

I will be at the Herb Brooks Arena (formerly known as the '80 rink) with bells on.:D

Today is 13 May 2010. There are 148 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 8 October for the start of next season.

Even if he didn't, I didn't do that for my 21st birthday either. Granted it's in July, and I spent it in Buffalo.....

I didn't do that on my 21st birthday either. Of course, the drinking age in NY was 18 back then. :p
(but voting was 21 -- go figure)

Hey guys, Im going to write an article on how SUNY Albany should be winning national titles in hockey every other year and say how if UAlbany, RPI, Union, Skidmore, Sage, and Siena (well once Skidmore becomes D-I, Sage and Siena both "wake up") form a mega conference with 3 bids because they are such national powers. :D

I appreciate the effort by this writer to give college hockey notice but please stick to the Sabres.

This game in LP creates an unfortunate scheduling conflict. October 30th is the date of the Dutchmen' s Shoes football game at ECAV. Too bad that the football game can't be moved to Friday night or the hockey game to Friday or Sunday. People are going to have to choose between the two.

Go to Bombers to get the birthday burrito only. Do not get the big margarita.

Get your boot at Biergarten before you do anything though.

When I tried getting the birthday burrito at Bombers, I was told that they no longer offer that. Just the margarita. Fully agree with Red Cloud's sentiment that Bombers has jumped the shark.

You forgot Albany-Pharmacy. Remember that they already recruited JD'A's brother in anticipation of the move. :D

One of the commenters to Bucky's article posted this link http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pwrV-D-_tTUSpdM2lWCeTdQ to a spreadsheet showing expenses and revenue for all D-I college hockey schools in 2007. How does RPI figure that the women's team gets $1.3 million in revenue? Are they counting what the RPI Student Union pays as revenue? That would be creative accounting.

It has to come from somewhere. I highly doubt they sell that much in concessions at the football games.

Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season Thread II -- We Can Rebuild Them. We Have the Technology!

That sounds like the size of the school's athletic budget rather than the size of revenue.
