RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Paul Stewart was overheard at the Elvis impersonator show at Trump Plaza that he is "thrilled that RPI is in the tourney"

While he was in the booth for the Yale Cornell game-he was gushing about how fast Yale is and how skilled (all very true). He was talking about the only teams that can match up with them and he mentioned NDak and Miami. He conveniently forgot about a team that has won 3 of the last 4 against them in the past 2 years.

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

reminder-everyone vote for Hobey each day. Chase is holding third place with 9% right now and the total number of votes thus far is not great. We can make a difference if we all vote. Even my cats think so.;)

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

This will be RPI's 6th trip to the Tournament sine i have been following them. Our all time record in games i believe is 6 wins and 8 losses. We have only been to see 3 games in person and in those games we are 2-1. I have the feeling though that this could be the beginning fo a couple more bids in the next few years.

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Any chance the committee switches #12 UNO with #13 UNH, making the Wildcats a 3 seed? That would allow BC to play in Manchester as a 1 seed and have RPI as a potential first round opponent as the 4 seed. I wouldnt mind having a crack at the defending national champions.

I would highly doubt it, and it has never happened before. I wouldn't mind if they did though, as that would keep North Dakota out west, and we would play Air Force in your scenario. If I were an RPI fan, I would hope that they wouldn't even think about making such a change because if they swap 13 and 12, it's a slippery slope to switching a 15 and 16.

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Looks like I'm heading west. I've never been to Green Bay or St. Louis, so it should be fun. Hopefully I will be there long enough to some sightseeing. ;) I think that with rested Polacek, York, Helfrich, etc...RPI could give whoever they play a game. I'm looking forward to it. The last time RPI has been to the national tourney, I had just turned 14. I've just turned 30. That's a long stretch.

Where is RHAMILTON? Need to give a great deal of thanks for his numbers and keeping the hope alive. I doubt had he (and others ) not done that none of us would have been following along so closely and faithfully as we were. I hope he gets to the tournement even if we all need to chip in! He is the new face of RPI hockey and our good luck charm!

He's resting and vacationing after the torture we put him through the past few days. ;)

So, not surprisingly, ESPN2 couldn't get their mics to work in Achilles. Definitely know what that feels like. :d
