Here's a silly question: How come the location for the Niagara games says "Niagara University, N.Y." instead of "Lewiston, N.Y."?

According to the NU website:

Mail being sent to NU via the United States Postal Service should be addressed to a specific Post Office Box. Mail that does not include a P.O. Box number will be returned via USPS protocol.

Example

Office of Admissions
P.O. Box 2011
Niagara University, N.Y. 14109-2011

DO NOT use the address of “Lewiston, N.Y.” This will result in your package getting delayed at the post office in the Town of Lewiston and, very often, returned to those who sent it.

Interesting. So then the question becomes why the schedule uses mailing addresses instead of physical municipality locations. But that's a much less interesting question. =)

Probably because Global Positioning Satellites are closely tied to addresses that have been mandated as part of using the enhanced 911 system. After all, up 2 numbers every 50 feet (at least for residences) is fairly easy to understand.

Does the card include any additional information? Pricing? From the schedule releases, we already know "Season ticket package renewals begin July 6, while new season ticket sales start July 22. Single game tickets will go sale in early August."

Yeah, just saw that on the schedule release.... I hadn't looked at it. Nope, the card doesn't have any additional information.... just says to go to the ticket web site. However, there is nothing there. I guess I got too excited... don't want summer to go by too fast, but I miss RIT hockey!

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS - Roaring into the postseason <<<<<

Season ticket pricing is listed on rithockey.com (except for club seating). I have heard that we can expect a slight increase in club seating prices due to the cost of the food.

All of the other season tickets went down in price. I have heard this is because the BCA ticket is NOT included, although I can't find that in writing on the site anywhere. Single game prices are not listed yet, but based on last years prices (and assuming 16 home games without BCA), you only save $0.70 to $2 per game by getting season tickets - I guess I expected this to be a bit more...

RESERVED CHAIRBACK SEATING
General Public $210 (down $25 from last season) ($13.13 per game - 2014 single game was $15)
Staff/Faculty/Alumni $185 (down $20) (11.56 per game - 2014 single game was $13)
Student $185 (down $15) (11.56 per game - 2014 single game was $13)
Youth (12 & Under) $120 (down $10) ($7.50 per game - 2014 single game was $8)

GENERAL ADMISSION STANDING & BENCH SEATING
General Public $160 (down $25 from last season) ($10 per game - 2014 single game was $12)
Staff/Faculty/Alumni $140 (down ($15) ($8.75 per game - 2014 single game was $10)
Student $65 (down $20) ($4.06 per game - 2014 single game was $5)
Youth (12 & Under) $85 (down $10) ($5.31 per game - 2014 single game was $6)

The benefits they list are:
-Guaranteed giveaways throughout the season. Rally towels, bobble heads...whatever we give away, we will make sure all of our season ticket holders receive one!
-10% off hockey merchandise and apparel purchases all season long at the Barnes and Noble SpiRIT Store!
-Exclusive invites to both a preseason event with the team as well as the end of the year season ticket holder party!
-Priority status for purchasing 2016 playoff tickets as well as 2016/2017 season tickets!

As previous years, if you buy a men's season ticket package, you can add a women's season ticket package for $20.

For reference, here are last year's club prices, including BCA:
*Club Seating Gene Polisseni Center Season Ticket Package
Adults - $450
RIT Faculty/Staff/Alumni- $415
Student (1 per valid ID) - $410
Youth (12 and under) – $340

Surprised the BCA game would not be included in the ticket package since it always has been a part of it before.

Not disputing this, but keep in mind we do have one fewer home game this year. The price decrease is more than the cost of a single game, though.

What did this run last year???

I think they are separating this and allowing you to purchase separately. I for one normally have more people with me for this game, it's easier especially with reserve seating to purchase the tickets separately.

What is that song from Frozen?? Let it Go....

The hell is your problem? Do you expect to pay the same price for season tickets that include one fewer game? Or would you expect the price to be somewhat lower?

so, as LtPowers will point out, 2 less games, and tickets went up. I heard that the increase is due to Brick City Catering raising it, and not the Box Office, if that makes sense.

I, like others, find this much more convenient. I always have friends who might be alumni, or casual hockey fans, who want to attend this game and buying a block of tickets separately is much easier. You can buy your BCA ticket with your season tickets if you want so you don't have to worry about it later

I think it makes sense. Actually thought it was not a bad deal, you got an all you can eat buffet for around $10 (when you subtract what you would have paid for a reserved Seat). Seems like they didn't like the margins they were getting on Food so they increased that. Given the prime location and the food it is not a bad deal when you compare to other similar sport venues that offer the same all you can eat buffet...

Maybe my memory is off, but if not we are paying less per game. Little more than $11.50/game (per Mar7967's math). Last year my memory said I paid about $12 a game. I also wouldn't be surprise if there was an increase, you know how much Sabres tickets increased for a team that finished last???

Sure, some variation is to be expected. I was just pointing out that at least some portion of the season ticket price decrease can be attributed to fewer games at the Polisseni Center. I was not intending to refer to my previous criticism of that number.
