Pro deal?

Technically speaking anything from ECHL and up is pro, as well as the Euro teams. As far as I can tell there are no further details at the moment. He did attend Sharks camp last month, though...

Maybe, maybe not. Being Penn State's first season with the big boys, they likely will still be growing into their new pants come Brick City weekend. I would like to think that we should be able to outperform them handily, so maybe it will just fall to whose up in the platoon.

I think we would know by then by who starts the 1st game at Michigan. But it also could come down to who plays better at Michigan.

Technically speaking all of the following North American leagues are "Pro":
NHL
AHL
ECHL
CHL
SPHL
LNAH
FHL
All of these leagues are professional, i.e. their players are paid.

I just realized RIT is going to be in CO Springs on Dec 2nd. This may put a damper on my snowboarding plans :\

Lately, there seems to be as much RIT talk in the Bentley thread as there is about them, so we might as well bring this thread back.

I know everyone is concerned about how the goalies will fare, but where I have more concern is about the defensemen. I think they will be as important, if not more, to the success of the team. Seracino's health will be something to watch. Also, someone will need to step up from the underclassmen. I like Raibl to have a breakout season.

I think Mike Colavecchia will have his best season yet and be the #1 or #2 scorer on the team. I also think that Thompson (#28) could have a break-out year; he put more shots on goal at the end of the season and I think he works hard.

I agree those two are top candidates on offense. Certainly the Tigers will need someone to stop up to replace the offense that graduated.

Break-out year? Played 39 games and had 0 goals/4 assists. With the amount of ice time he gets and the numbers he puts up, he'll be lucky to be on the team this year. I would be surprised if he had more than 10 points this year.

I know the stats don't exactly support my prediction (ok, they definitely don't). It's just a gut feeling. And sometimes you just gotta go with your gut! :)

When one only scores 4 points in a season, a break out season could be a 10 point one! ;)

Exactly! That's the kind of glass-half-full kinda thinking we need! :)
