Re: >>>>>>>>> RIT Tigers 2015-16 Regular season thread. On the prowl again

Kuqali suffered a shoulder injury midway through the third period of the Everblades second to last regular season game. He is in a sling for several weeks, so was not included in Florida's playoff roster due to the injury.

Well at least someone waited to get injured after he left the team. Lets hope this is an odd year for Injury to RIT players...

Are there any whispers of team league changes?

Your education has served you well then!

Now......has anybody seen next years schedule?

21-22 October will feature both RPI and Union, with Niagara being your "travel partner". I suspect the favor will be returned next year.

Thanks, been following your schedules thread looking for updates. Based on other's thoughts, we're looking at June for the complete schedule for the Tiger's but glimpses when other AHC teams release their schedules.

Unfortunately no

Looks like Quinnipiac has no intention of leaving
Curious therefore as to who replaces ND in HE

Unsubstantiated rumor from a former player: RIT prexy has shown no interest in a move to ECAC

Who's gonna start the offseason thread?

5 dollars says Bentley applies to Hockey East which will be the trigger to build an on-campus rink! A former alumni will give the university 5 million to get the ball rolling and they will be playing there in two years. Make that 1 dollar!

Bentley's Board of Trustees votes this month whether to move forward with the arena. HE has been mentioned as a possibility by some people in the Athletic Dept..

Why wouldn't RIT try and jump on the HE bandwagon? What does RIT have to lose? If you can't join the ECAC why not join another league? Does it really matter if they do not fit RIT's dream goal?

I could see travel being one issue. A once a seasons trip to Bentley or AIC is not bad but several to Mass and Maine. Would hurt their travel budget and Orano is just plain far away

RIT would have an even harder time competing in HE, and the institutions there have almost nothing in common with RIT. There's no history of competition there. Most of the schools in HE don't even know where Rochester is.

Dr. Destler announced he is retiring on 6/30/2017. Wonder how this affects changing leagues, if RIT is given the opportunity.

What do you mean they don't know where Rochester is? It's in Minnesota, obviously.

He will be a tough act to follow. Having been around RIT since the early 1970's he is the only President I would recognize if we met on the street. Beyond what league they play in, I think the bigger question regards administrative support for hockey and athletics. I'd hate to see the Tigers transform into Union of the early 1990's, where a .500 record is considered a successful year.

In point of fact to members of HE, Rochester is in nearby N.H. not that far from Worcester

It's way way beyond the New Englanders' Gateway to the Wild West (Albany), so why should they care where it is?
